Subject: IMO, Kenya was the only one of the Top 6 that could have handled the Mexican audience as well as she did. Kenya's poise is what got her the USA crown anyway. She didn't fold.

In reply to: Original Rican 's message, "1993 remains one of the most brutal. But at top 6. With the exception of new jersey, the remaining 5 were exceptional. Hawaii easily could have been top 3 but she wasn't as confident Kenya or Kansas. Pennsylvania, still breaks my heart to this day. And even still I think the judges loved her because her scores were still high." on 19:14:07 09/22/20 Tue

[> [> Subject: I agree with Kenya being the only one who could handle the booing Mexican crowd that year. I think Kelli would've been poised at first but then eventually crack and become hysterical and making weird faces once the "Get on your Feet" production number started. As for Pennsylvania and Georgia, the poor things would probably get swept off the stage by Milka Chulina's and Miss Mexico's gowns

[> [> [> Subject: I agree that Kenya was probably the best candidate to handle the rowdy crowd of hooligans that year. I'm glad Kenya got back at the nation of Mexico by shoving her Little Sister outta the way during EG after the curtsy while thinking to herself 'adios chica!'.

[> [> [> [> Subject: Lol at the dance number. I agree. But those were always pre taped. Kenya didn't show any emotion while being booed. But Rachel looked like she was about to cry. Partly because she was still embarrassed she fell on international TV, she made the top 5 and Mexico did not and she got booed during top of 5 question. By the way I got fed up with hearing about the Oprah leadership academy!

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I feel like that's the only reason why Rachel won Miss USA in the first place. She stood out with the whole Oprah thing. No other contestant could compete with that and it was mighty impressive to have that on your resume. I really wanted Danielle Lacourse to win that year but I knew it wasn't happening and nobody could beat Rachel
