Programming and providing support for this service has been a labor
of love since 1997. We are one of the few services online who values our users'
privacy, and have never sold your information. We have even fought hard to defend your
privacy in legal cases; however, we've done it with almost no financial support -- paying out of pocket
to continue providing the service. Due to the issues imposed on us by advertisers, we
also stopped hosting most ads on the forums many years ago. We hope you appreciate our efforts.

[> Subject: For what it's worth, There are 26 contestants, and 10 are black. Afro-Colombians make up 6.8% of the Colombian population. I believe these regionals were all castings, rather than actual pageants. So, one could say this is over-representation, but being as black women are doing extremely well in pageants across the globe recently, it's not surprising to see this level of representation. After all, representation matters. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see a larger number of black entrants at Miss Universe than in any year prior.
