Date Posted: 14:06:34 02/09/10 Tue Can I please get a list of people/cars that are planning to run Ultimate Street this year with OTTA. The rules have been just about worked out and I need to see who is going to commit to a full season of racing with Ultimate Street. I am tring to get my schedule togather and I have to know right now! Just list your name please. I want to put Ultimate Street with OTTA on my schedule this year but I'm not going to worrie about it if we dont have cars that are committed to being there. Don't be shy post up as soon as you see this. If you don't post up then I will move on and understand the class is dead. Thanks -Chris C. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 12:42:31 12/21/09 Mon Brian at ( brian@realdragracing.us ) is in a bind. Brian has been around for a long time doing photo's and video's for Drag racing but he is a bind. His camera crapped out at our last race and is beyound repair. I did some bardering with Wes Storm a few years ago to get that camera for him and he has been very loyal to me in return. Due to the fact his camera crapped out we missed out on some famous shots at the finals. Brian is willing to cover all of our events next year and provide us with great photo's great flyers and great video's as he did this year but is need of a camera, so it is time to barder again. Does anyone out there have a good used camera for sell at a cheap price. We can do some things at our next race to collect money to help him out such as sell 50/50 tickets, donations, have an auction, or what ever but we really need him pre-season. So if anyone out there has some ideas to help me come up with a solution to this problem, please advise. Thanks for your time and please guys let's see if we can work this out. Brian has been good to us so let's show him how much he is valued to us. Bonnie Webb [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

| Subject: OTTA 2010 Rules | |
|
Author: Bonnie and Tracie [Edit] |
Date Posted: 10:13:59 12/13/09 Sun Attention OTTA: We hope you had a great Thanksgiving and will have a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year. It was great to see that many of you are now using the board that we had built for you and we think that is very positive even though much of the traffic was negative. As much as we hate to see any of our racers and committee members at odds with each other, we are pleased to say that we believe that we have some strong minded people on board but however from time to time we have to let them go back to be racers and make decision that we feel is best for the organization and at this time we feel that using our rules with our adjustments that were made at the end of the season is in the best interest of the organization. Last year we went to a rules meeting and spent 2 hours discussing wheelie bars, even though the first sentence out of our mouth was that we would not be a part of mandating the no wheelie bar rule due to safety reasons which was a decision we made after much research went into place which I think if you look and Chad’s track record you will find the theory, “take off the bars and we can kick his ass went straight out the window”. Chad raced all year with no bars never saw a 4.60 anything but still had a great year and became our points champion… Congrats Chad and thank you for making that point valid even though we know that was not your intentions (lol) Anyway…. We don’t want to do that this year! So we are going to let our racers go back to racing and make a decision that we feel is in the best interest of the organization. We have tested our rules with some minor adjustments that we felt were necessary and we think we are on target for 2010. We know that some of you will hate it and some of you will love it but sometimes you just have to TRUST US! We know that this is a risk but we take a risk every time we show up at a race track. So wishing everyone Happy Holidays, we will continue to get our logistics worked out and we will see OTTA and the Texas 8.5’s March 27, 2010 at Evadale unless we book something earlier and in that case we will advise. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to all of you. See you at the races, Bonnie and Tracie 2010 Rules for OTTA rules after Adjustments for the last race of the season 2009 Outlaw True Ten's 1. Date Posted: 18:27:00 12/11/09 Fri Here is your wake up call! www.Texaskingofthehill.net How many cars does kith have left? I have counted 9 cars that no longer run. Any idea on car count for next year? -- Outlawfan, 16:53:13 12/11/09 Fri [13] [ Post a Reply to this Message ][Edit] Replies: I doubt Danny will ever answer or tell the truth on this subject. Car count is so bad no one shows up to watch anymore. Would love to here how they are going to get cars back to race truth 10.5 outlaw with out changing the venue!!!! I know of 7 cars the stopped racing with them and still have them............... (NT) -- Rick "T", 19:31:24 12/08/09 Tue I can't answer that question. I'm not hiding anything. Not sure exactly what you want from me. We all know car count is down. We went to the ORSCA race and I think they had 12 cars. And 4 of those were KOTH cars. If we had as many cars as people who told me they were going to race actually show up, we would have had a full 16 car field at every race! But, I'm not their momma. I can tell you this, we had some of the closest and fastest racing we've had in a while, along with a killer finale. Look at TOPMA, their car count is down too. As a matter of fact, there were quite a few shows that KOTH cars qualfied and rounded out their field for them. As long as your counting cars, I'd say if you go back to the beginning of KOTH, there are probably 30 cars that don't race with us anymore for whatever reason. -- Danny Humphreys, 20:41:15 12/08/09 Tue If you know of 7, call them and ask them why they won't race. For $250, they race all year for free. At this point, myself and Hargett are the only ones that have been around since the beginning. So exactly what is your point? If you can come up with a better program, do it otherwise shut your yapper. Outlaw 10.5 is making a comeback. Just wait til Thursday, ORSCA and NHRA have a big announcement coming. George Howard is putting on several big dollar shows in 2010. KOTH has some of the fastest cars in the country and I am working with the tracks now to get our schedule wrapped up. Stay tuned. -- Danny Humphreys, 20:42:25 12/08/09 Tue Got your work cut out for that's for sure Danny, hell the idiots with the TTT5 have more races than you guys did last year and those cars are pathetically boring to watch. I would suggest you rattle every members chain and tell them to either show up and support you this year or don't bitch when it's gone. (NT) -- Miss the old days, 14:21:07 12/10/09 Thu Maybe we should get Al Anabi involved Danny! LOL (NT) -- mike c., 21:06:28 12/08/09 Tue Danny the part that you dont get is untill you find a way to get nitrous cars competitive, the class will die. The class picking up and being faster has hurt it more than helped it. The part that no one seems to get is that if you want car count, you need the nitrous cars! take your 7 and add pizzino, rivette, thorton, jones, hilidago, herzog, jenkins, ayala, Thats off the top of my head that are ready and did not show up because there is no parity in the rules. careuw wheat and wade are also done unless there is a rule change. Outlaw the screws/whipples, reduce the turbos to true 88's, put everyone back on 15's, whatever it is.. make it fair. Say what you want, but untill you make a rules change they wont come back and you will have 6 cars show up and race every race untill the class dies out next year. Just my .02 (NT) -- Da Truth, 20:34:05 12/10/09 Thu The part I don't get is how someone can have a car ready to race and let it sit and rot instead of coming out and enjoying it. The average #8 qualifier was a 4.89 and the average winning ET was 4.66 in 2009. OK so now what? If guys aren’t showing up, it’s because they THINK they don’t have a shot, not because they don’t. Let's just say for a minute that we banned screw blowers. That would make me have to go out and spend another $12k + on a top of the line roots setup and still be able to run in the 30's. True 88's (which the turbo guys will have to go out and purchase new turbos) are capable of running in the 30's and there are several cars doing it. Cory Wheat and Darrin Wade have the baddest nitrous cars on the planet and run mid 30's. The rest of the cars you mentioned aren't even close to that. So now what? Add more weight to the blower and turbo cars? The chassis certs are only good up to 3200lbs and most of them are already around 3150. -- Danny Humphreys, 22:56:35 12/10/09 Thu As far as the 8 cars you mentioned, click here for the real truth on those. -- Danny Humphreys, 23:01:12 12/10/09 Thu Another one bites the dust -- Say it isn't so, 12:17:43 12/11/09 Fri Wow wasn't expecing that -- You have to click the "Say it isn't so", 12:21:17 12/11/09 Fri You all would be smart to sell your cars while they still have some sort of value. They won't be worth anything once all the orginizations are gone. (NT) -- 30 cents on the dollar, 12:27:52 12/11/09 Fri Wait a minute, that's a turbo car! I thought only the nitrous cars were dead. Josh didn't even race last year -- Racer X, 16:53:13 12/11/09 Fri [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 18:11:58 12/10/09 Thu A couple people are worried about our records and performance messuring up to ORSCA's. If your so tied up in saving face with the east coast records, grow some NUTTS, take off your BARS, then you can run at 3150lb. That is as much validation as you can speak of! BUT NO, a select couple of guys are worried about getting another 100lb weight break without being penalized for having wheelie bars. You will be laughed at by the east coasters for breaking a record weighting their weight and running wheelie bars. I didn't realize a twin turbo 440 that has been over 168mph needed a weight break. You should be ashamed. Take off your bars and take advantage of the weight break already put into place Rob. YOU CAN WEIGHT 3150 WITH OUT BARS. WHERE IS THE CONFUSION??????????????????????????????? ORSCA's rules was put into place based off of NO WHEELIE BARS! If you want ORSCA weights, run ORSCA's rules and you will only be 50lbs heavy. What you guys should be arguing is for a 100lb weight break for no bars. That would put you right dead on with ORSCA. BUT NO, ya'll want the 100lbs plus your bars. That seem fair? I think not. peace [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Well now it seems like everybody has stepped on there dick and I havent even won a race! How the fuck can you justify that a SB has to way the same as a BB. I dont give a shit if I went 168mph or not. That must mean these other combo's are pieces of shit or they just dont have a fucking clue. God forbid they ever tried going east and racing with the guys over there! The ORSCA weights are the most pariable weight breaks you can have. The only thing that could be fixed is giving the Small Block Nitrous cars a bigger weight break. I can give a shit about the wheelie bar rule here. Ill run with no bars' done proved it. And to any of the Big Block guys if your really scared to let me run at 3100lbs with no bars, and you got a BB with twins and bars I feel sorry for you. The East Coast racers/ and promoters made the changes of giving the SB car's the weight breaks cause its needed. Your Lucky these are not ORTC/UORS rules...Small Block Turbo with 91's and BB with 88's @ 3250! Not Trying to start a war with this, is just the FACTS! -rOB [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 19:18:40 12/08/09 Tue I just looked at UORS and there is nothing about 88mm only n BB combos. You picked your combo as did everyone else, you take a conventional headed nitrous car @ 3000lbs that makes tops 2100hp. and your so called disadvantaged smallblock turbo that makes minimum 2800 hp does 100lbs difference really justify that. No, and the 5-6 cars that are nitrous 4.840 motors will show up at every race the way the rules are now. I dont understand what the problem is, we will never be ORSCA. if you take your weight breaks, and no wheelie bar rules into effect the E.T. margin will become more than what it is now. It doesnt make since to give 2 of the faster cars weight breaks. ANd about the comment about being scared. No, I dont care if yall race at 2700lbs THE DEEP STAGE RULE IS STILL IN EFFECT!:} [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20:33:10 12/08/09 Tue Justin, Honest mistake on the 88mm rule, it is in Drag Radial Not TT5. I thought they were the same. From what I hear after PRI they might be the exact same anyways. Here are the UORS True Ten Five Rules http://www.unitedoutlawracing.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=87&Itemid=93 Here there is also a weight break for the SB as well. I just cant see running at the BB Twin Weight. I dont care what you say. If need be we should give the 4.84 cars more of a weight break! I do agree 100%. Yes I picked my combo, but my bitch is that, every were you look ppl recognize the difference in SB vs. BB. Why is that we cant here? Whats the difference here? Are you guys all scared cause Kyle will be getting his as well? Who cares! I dont. Plus he wont be running with out bars anyways. So what your saying is your scared of him? Ive been just as fast, and Justin .01 off of us. Good thing Kenjo is not racing with us, there giving him the same weight as the 5' and 5.2' nitrous guys weight and sometimes more of a weight break in some organizations!Imagine what he would do at 3000lbs. The BB Turbo guys make more power then everybody thats not going to change! I agree that this is not ORSCA and never will be. I just think that the weights should be adjusted to so said combinations. Justin as for the comment on the deep staging stab, my breaks were fucked up earlier in the year and hasnt happened since we fixed them in Crandal. thanks for the concern! -rob Ill be leaving for PRI tomorrow evening, probably wont have any internet access. Date Posted: 08:18:09 12/09/09 Wed I think that if any adjustments are made to the turbo weights that it needs to be in conjuction with the 4.84 bb. The weight would have to be less on this combo to compete because out mph is usually between 148-151. The sb turbo can run 10-15mph more. Whatever you do to help this combo out will bring the car count up because these are the cars sitting at home because they can't compete. Everyone with this combo has to run n the ragged edge to keep up and usually hurt their motor frequently. Just typing and rambling [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Whats the point of giving all these other cars weight breaks...they cant get there as it is. IF they spent the money to lighten, why not do a turbo? Times are hard, I think changing the rules to accommodate two cars that are already faster than 99% of the field is RETARDED!I dont care who it is. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

I FULLY SUPPORT ALL OF THEM AND APPRECIATE WHAT THEY DO! AS FAR A ROB'S STATEMENT, I DO AGREE THAT SMALL BLOCK BOOSTED CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WEIGH THE SAME AS A BIG BLOCK BOOSTED CAR WITH THE SAME SIZE TURBO. WITH THAT SAID, LOOK AT THE WINNERS OF THE EVENTS SINCE THE START OF OTTA. ALL CATEGORIES HAVE WON MULTIPLE RACES, INCLUDING SMALL BLOCK BOOSTED CARS, EXCEPT ONE. THAT BEING SMALL BLOCK NITROUS CARS. NEVER WON A RACE AND PROBABLY NEVER WILL. HOW MANY DO YOU SEE WINNING IN ORSCA, NONE. WE RUN 1.66 OUT THE BACK. A TURBO CAR CAN RUN 1.46 OUT THE BACK. THAT MEANS WE HAVE TO RUN UNDER 3.00 TO 330 TO COMPETE. CAN'T BE DONE AT 2700 AND ESPECIALLY WITHOUT BARS. ROB, I CAN SEE YOUR POINT, BUT YOU AND OTHER SMALL BLOCK BOOSTED CARS HAVE RUN IN THE 4.60'S. WHAT IS THE FASTEST SMALL BLOCK NITROUS CAR YOU HAVE SEEN? WE AINT COMPLAINING AND WILL RUN AT THE WEIGHT THAT HAS BEEN POSTED, BUT DON'T EXPECT TO SEE A LOT OF SMALL BLOCK NITROUS CARS, IT'S JUST A STUPID COMBINATION TO BUILD. I remember being at the very 1st meeting at Todd Moyers shop and i personally said lets just run ORSCA rules and a few people shut me up on that and said we are not ORSCA we are OTTA. Now, we all the sudden want to adopt some of their rules, i say hell with it, lets just adopt all of their rules. For example, NO WHEELIE BARS, NO M5, SINGLE POWER ADDERS ONLY, DEEP STAGING IS ALLOWED, and MATCHING UNIFORMS FOR CREW, then we can allow the weight breaks. JUST SAYING!!! IE: 4.84 motors, Small Block Nitrous cars, Coneveitional Headed, Cast Mandifold, 1 Carb type cars, ect... We need participation to make this work. Date Posted: 12:07:48 12/07/09 Mon We OTTA made some changes at the last race of the season. I sent a copy of our rules to Chad and ask him to put the information on there that we used at the last race of the season and that is exactly what he did actually this took place last week before anyone ever spoke of using ORSCA rules but just got posted. Now Shit hits the fan and you want to blame Chad but he did nothing more than what I had ask of him last week. Now let’s put this in prospective. We have listed the rules that were used at the last race of the season….. Now it is time to talk about 2010 rules. Everyone needed to see what our starting point was which is what is now posted. So let’s put this in prospective. Our (OTTA) car count dropped at every race during the season, the next to the last race we barely had eight cars. We made some adjustments for the last race of the season and had 21 cars. The most cars that we every had at an OTTA race. Everyone walked away with a good spirit after having a very good time. I have had at least 12 different calls from people who have never even ran with OTTA saying they can not wait to join us next season and you all of a sudden want to change everything to ORSCA. This is not the East Coast this is TEXAS, and we need to cater to the cars we have here that are willing to show up at every race NOT to cars that are 1000 miles away and will never attend an OTTA race. Let me state that what you are trying to create here is a Mass Destruction of OTTA, the reason we have survived is because we allow the little guy to be a part of something great. Why would you want to destroy what we have worked so hard to build over the past 2 year. Look at King of the Hill and FSTA… Is this really what you want… I want each and everyone of you to step back and think about what you are asking us to do. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 13:26:00 12/07/09 Mon The bottom line is there are a few of us who think a weight break should be added to certain combonations. There is no way that a Small Block Turbo combo, twins or single, will make the power of a Big Block Turbo Car. I dont see how you can make a car with 440 ci and 88mm turbo's weigh the same amount as a 632ci motor with 91mm turbo's. Its just not justified. They will not make the smae power by any means. The BB Twin Turbo guys will be making more power than anyone no matter what way you look at it. We can not add weight to these cars, they are heavy enough. A weight break is what needs to be given to these combonations. Look at any other organization, SB Turbo is 200pds less than a BB Turbo Combo. Granted there are other cars out there with bigger motors and bigger turbo's that are slower than me, but I should not be punished for that. Im clearly at the disadvantage, in this case. Once those cars are lined out more, there is no stopping them. I know we are not trying to be the East Coast, but these changes need to be made. -Rob [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

The fact that we had over 20 cars at the last race and everyone seemed to walk away happy tells us that the rules are where they need to be. However if you have something that you are concerned about speak up now. We need to use the board more to keep everyone in touch with what is going on. I know that personally I am reponding to things posted all over the place and it would be nice to see it all in one place... This is your site, so use it to your advantage. See you at the races. Date Posted: 11:23:56 12/06/09 Sun Evadale is having a drivers meeting Dec 19, any racer that runs a Evadale has the oppertunity to show up at the meeting and be heard. They plan to discuss in depth what changes they are makeing and what we can look forward to in 2010. Please do not treat this as a bitch session, if you remember last year we took advanatage of this and we got new grand stands, new loud speakers in the back of the stagging lanes, additional parking for out big riggs and several other things. They have been very good to us so if you do attend this meeting, please be a gentleman or woman.... They deserve to be treated with respect. I plan to attend the meeting so if you have a concern that you would like me to address please send me a email. I know of some improvements that they are working on and I think you will be impressed. Date Posted: 09:05:51 12/06/09 Sun Bonnie, The biggest complaint that I have and know that its one of the reason a lot of the cars don't show up from out of town. The races take to long, there is way to much down time.... no cars going down the track with out any wrecks or oil downs.... get the cars to the staging lanes, and on time if the first round is at 2:00 make sure it starts at that time!! One other thing i think would help is a better way to post the ladder, i suggest installing a permanent marker board that has the ladder displayed by the tech. building. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
| [> [> Subject: Thanks Rodney, They did have some major computer issues which created the down time and they are getting that situation fixed this winter, I agree we need to get started on time and I do have a big marker boad that we can start putting the info on. | |

Date Posted: 17:37:38 11/22/09 Sun Jeff, we have talked before and I voiced my opinion on this. OTTA is a series built by the racers for the racers and is driven by a committee that was voted in by the racers to compile the groups majority votes and speak on their behalf. I think it's fair to say that this series (with Bonnie and Tracie's lead) is aimed at growth for the 2010 season. OTTA has implimented some new rules in hopes to spark new interests and competition in our series. It's apparent that the rule revisions have indeed been a success. With this said, the question has been raised by you and others in regards to the sb n20 weights, so let's take a look at it for a moment... Currently we have two competitors running this combo. Both cars have had some success. One (Themo) has posted some mid 80's and the other (Dustin) has posted some bottom 80's. If I'm not mistaken both of these cars run at 2800+lbs.... (probably closer to 2900.) In respect to both of these teams and the rest of the current members, I strongly feel that these two teams deserve the right to voice their opinions before anybody else is heard. Jeff, I can pretty much guarantee you that 2500 is not going to happen. The current weight is 2700 with bars and 2650 without. Given the fact that Dustin's .82 could easily be a .72 with the current weight requirements, I don't know how far this will go... Opinions anyone? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

IF WE COULD RUN AT 2500#S I THINK WE COULD RUN BOTTOM 4.60S. IT IS TRUE THAT A LOT OF THE BIG RACES NEXT YEAR WILL ALLOW 2600#S FOR OUR COMBO. WE CAN JUST BARELY GET TO THE 2700 WITHOUT STARTING OVER AND WE WON'T BE DOING THAT. HEY, WE ARE JUST LOOKING TO COMPETE, AND IF WE CAN BE WITHIN A TENTH OF THE FASTEST CARS WE WILL BE HAPPY AND YOU WILL KNOW WE ARE THERE, BUT I STILL BELIEVE WE HAVE ONE OF THE FASTEST SMALL BLOCK NITROUS CARS IN THE COUNTRY. Date Posted: 18:11:44 11/15/09 Sun Bonnie & Tracie I personally want to thank you for the short term season with OTTA this year. The guys were a little down short this season on getting out. We do appreciate the efforts you guys had made on keeping things alive for us in 09. Ultimate Street has not died yet, but on a strong hold of reworking things. I myself have been working very hard to reinvent the wheel at my business, which has on my adjenda of completing a car project for OTTA next year to race. I see things are looking up for you guys and give best wishes for next year. Again I want to say thank you. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 17:44:23 11/15/09 Sun Thought I would finish this out, since I was unable too on hotrodgossip, apparently I pissed a certain someone off and was blocked.LOL! So here it is... 2nd round elim. Taz vs.Buttafuoco Win: Taz 5.22 J.Harvey vs. Stewart Win: J. Harvey 5.21 (note rset record) Finals: Taz vs. Justin Harvey Win: Justin Harvey 5.25 Your winner and new record holder for the class Justin Harvey (unless your in Joe Golden world and don't believe you have to back the number up for it to be a record) * Congrats to all the 8.5's for putting a great show on. They ran a tight race all the way through. They are all right on each others heels making for some great racing. Some think that stricter rules need to be set for next year in this class. My personal opinion, why change anything when you have a class that is running so close, with each race it can be anyones race and as you can see the record changes hands very quickly. Just a personal opinion, that no doubt will be disbuted until everyones blue in the face.Again congrats to all. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
