So I am curious on what the decison is with the Deep Staging Rule. It is clearly in favor of being taken out. Will this be put into effect at the race this weekend? Bonnie and Tracie what are you girls thoughts?

Maybe the tree should be triggered by the driver of the turbo car. That way we can race when the boost is just right. LOL. just messing with you Rob. I think the rule should be left alone for now. None of us are pro drivers but we all need to learn to stage our cars.

Nitrous guys are not the ones crying to change rules mid season. This would not be a issue if it did not envolve one of the big hitters in this org. Keep catering to only the fast guys and this org will die off just like all the others.

I need to know who is planning to come in on Friday night for testing. The track is putting up 250.00 for the fastest pass Friday night or if everyone wants to we could add a little money in our self and maybe have a jack pot race.

My TRE motor is in my car at Late Model Racecraft. Robert Follmer is building me a new set of headers and a few other things. The TRE motor has been great thanks for asking. Had it out for 2 races and won both of them. I dont know who the fuck big will is but I'm glad to know your concerned. Sorry if this causes friction, remember this is not a High Velocity event. The track booked OTTA and is 100% funding the OTTA organization to run with the event they were putting together for July 4th.

Adding Committee members.

I want each and every one of you to understand that being a committee member is not always an easy task. No matter what you do someone is not going to be happy and decisions have to be made as fair as possible and at the drop of a hat. I think that both Justin and Kyle have done a very good job at looking out for the best interest of the organization. When we have these issues come up, a decision has to be made and we have to get the race back underway. The results of these decisions are usually followed with much drama and there is no turning back the clock so if you think it is an easy task, I assure you that you are mistaken.

There is no time to have a drivers meeting and get everyone’s input and never will you get everyone to agree.

OTTA Racers:

In addition to our Saturday, July 4th OTTA show, NSD has added a Friday Night bonus of $250 for low et. We are inviting all of the OTTA racers to come out Friday Night to test and participate in our Low ET exhibition round to be run at approximately 9pm. The OTTA racer with low et in that dedicated exhibition round will receive $250 cash.

On Friday, the driver and up to two additional crew members will receive free admission, and there will be no charge for tech cards for OTTA. You are also more than welcome to stay the night at the track. For additional crew members and family, two day tickets will be available at a discounted price of $25 for pit access and $20 general admission.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming OTTA to Denton for the first time and excited about a great show. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

I would like to thank each and every one of you for joining us tonight, the OTTA event was very exciting and unpredictable. I always enjoy a good dual and last night was full of them. This is just growing pains guys. This is one of those things that none of us ever anticipated happening. We are all guilty of being un educated on the proper rulings. I got to commend our committee members for making a call! It might have been a controversial call but I believe that no matter what the ruling would have been it would have caused hard feelings. Let's FINALLY address this and move FORWARD. I understand Rob and Al's aggrivation. I've been there too (under a different circumstance I know). You are both great and well respected racers and teams! Both professionally and personally. Let's do what should be done and take another look at these rules. Maybe we should add two more committee members to the two vacant seats (mine and Kenjo's)just so we can give Kyle and Justin some help... Any idea's racers and promoters???

I would like to thank Bonnie and Tracie for their efforts to give us a place to race, but in saying that I would also like to think that all the cars from Houston would support them in any way possible. I know it's Fathers day weekend , but it was also Easter weekend at Evadale when we all drove down to support your local race . This is the first time we will race at Crandall and it is very important that we have a good car count. Do what you think is right!!! Maybe next year you can run with Joe and Kenjo. The 6500.00 purse that we run for is the same as the KOTH and Pro-mods. Happy Fathers Day.

"Karen Bryant may be gone from the workings of RPM but will always be a close friend to us and contributor to RPM Magazine at some level," explained a solemn Editor In Chief, Chris Biro. "You know, it is one of those things you don't want to do (accepting Karen's resignation) but you know inside you have to. Karen has been a great asset to RPM over the past 3 years and really helped in developing the strong team we have today, but you can't keep a visionary like Karen from pursuing her dream, being part of a large race series. We support her in this decision 100% and have offered to provide full Official Media backing to the series and it's racers."

Karen Bryant, Director Of Race Relations for RPM Magazine, has officially resigned her position effective immediately in order to continue full-time with a new race series that she has helped develop from the ground up and continues to be involved in, United Outlaw Racing Series AKA "UORS" (pronounced "YOURS"), referring to the key elements of the series being directed to benefiting the racers.

"I definitely did not take this decision lightly, but when you get going with two different large projects such as RPM and the New UORS, one day you have to say 'enough is enough' and make that tough call. I do not want to give anything less that my 100% attention and efforts to anything I take on and that is what would have started to happen to one or the other. I will miss everyone greatly but will still be providing RPM with information supporting the UORS series. Everyone at RPM is like family, and so are my racers, so it was a tough decision! But due to the overwhelming response from the southern division racers, and even a number of racers from afar it will be necessary that I put 100% of my focus into race structure, sponsorship retention and contingency payouts that benefit the racers."

This coming weekend in Crandall is not a double points race, however we do need to support this race. Remember several of those racers came to Evadale on Easter weekend to support you. This is a new track and they are looking forward to having OTTA.

I ran on the Dallas Track and if you want to run on one of are not the best track in Texas you owe it to yourself to go there. The pits are the best around and the rest rooms have Air Conditioning.The food was great and the track is fast.

I had to explain this to Ultimate Street so I thought I should go ahead and post it over here

OTTA booked races at 5 tracks, 2 near Houston, 2 near Dallas and 1 in the middle (PineValley). We have racers that can travel and some that can not so we made 1 race at each track with the exception of the one in the middle(pinevalley) a double points race. Those racers that can not attend all because they are so spread out can pick and choose what helps him the most in points and everyone can race and have a chance to win in points regardless if they are from Dallas or from Houston. For example OTTA has 7 racers going to Crandall this weekend out of Arkensas but Houston is too far for them, and most of the Houston racers that went to Sealy last weekend will not go to Crandall, this points system will help situations of this matter. OTTA had a total of 15 races booked and at the end of the season, points will be counted for the best 9 races. Now Ultimate street does not have racing in Dallas because they have so may TTT5 races in the Dallas area and it would just be too many of them up there in that area and therefore does not have as many races to count but is trying to follow suite with OTTA. They were not aware of the Double points until just before the Evadale race, so it was not fair to them to make it a double points race but agreed to follow the OTTA points system with the exception of the first race for Ultimate Street (Evadale) being double points.

I just wanted to thank everyone that helped us get to this race. Scott Herzog for a great motor and extra effort this week to get it freshend. Lamar Swindoll for taking time out of his day to go through my converter. Kenny Hubbard for all his help. Our crew for three days of straight thrashing to get the car together (Dad, Lance, Jason and Chris Revia). And of course Bonnie and Tracie for giving us a place to race. We got a good bunch of guys and girls in this organization. I can't name one group that shows up to our races, that wouldn't give a fellow racer the shirt off their back if it was needed. Thanks again and we will see ya at the track!

To enter in the index race, You will pay 20.00 to get in the gate. Tech cards will be sold at the concession stand. The entry to purchase a tech card is 40.00 a total of 60.00 for car and driver. I hope this clears things up.

6.60 is looking to do a jackpot race. 20.00 to get in the gate, an additional 5.00 for a test n tune tech card, a total of 25.00 plus what the group decides to collect as a purse for the jack pot. If 6.60 has at least 12 cars, I will add an additional 200.00 to the Jack pot.

We are going to run a TEXAS 8.5 tire race along with Ult.street and OTTA on the 13th. @ sealy, Bonnie said lets give it a go... We'll be using the exsisting rules for Texas 8.5 -- SB N/A 2900# - SB Nitrous supercharged 3100# - SB Turbo 3350# - BB N/A 3100# -BB nitrous supercharged 3300# - BB turbo 3500# - 6 cylinder 2900# -- no more than 50% weight over rear tires.. ONLY 26x8.5 sidewall designated slicks allowed .. Thats it! pretty much "outlaw" style class, this will be a jackpot race, with a 100% payback to racers, *racers will have to purchase a 20$ tech TNT card .. call Danny for questions 512 -332-1496

I plan to be there to do the race coverage. I have a guy that might come with me and he has a nice HD video set up. Would he be able to get in to shoot some coverage also.

TO NIGHTS RACE HAS BEEN CANCELLED -- Rodney Whatley, 09:30:49 05/16/09 Sat [1]

Tonights race has been cancelled due to the rain. The only thing going down that track is a boat. We had over 3 inches of rain last night and this morning.I am not sure if we can reschedule this race, Their schedule is full for Saturdays.

What would everyone think about a Sunday race, This is just a thought. I would like to get everyones input before talking to the track.

Doesn't look like I will make it with the forcast the way it is. I will check again after the soccer game this morning. I am sure if I don't go the weather will be great. Good luck and be safe to everone this weekend!

Schedule for Saturdays race at North Star


The track will be open Friday night for testing and over night parking. Testing will be free as long as your name is on the list. So call me 214-763-3587


The gates will open at 6:00 pm Friday and close at 11:00 pm


Gates will open at 3:00 Saturday for parking; I will try and reserve enough parking for o.t.t.a


We will have a short driver meeting at 6:00 pm


1st round of qualifying 6:45 to 7:00


2nd round of qualifying 7:45


1st round of eliminations 8: 30


Please come to the lanes when called, they are also running a top dragsters class so the track will be busy.



I am staying in close contact with the track concerning the weather. They know that most of our cars or driving in from out of town. I am trying to get them to call it by noon Friday if the weather does not look good, but this is Texas the weather can change in a few minutes.
