Date Posted: 08:20:33 08/04/09 Tue We have set up an IHRA Seminar for August 15th at Evadale. If you need your car certified this is the time to get it done. If we have a 12 car commitment the cost will be 75.00 if less than 12 cars the cost will be 150.00 per cars. The inspector will be there from 9 to 2 and it take about 20 min per car so if you need this done please plan to get there early. I would like to get a possiable head count for how many cars are planning to get this done to get to the inspector so please send me an email bwebb@maximimimpactracing.net or make a post on www.HoustonOutlawRacing.com. You should be getting your August Issue this week with a Feature Article on Matt "Ratt Daddy" Seigel and coverage from the RPM 10 year Anniversary race at Emerald Coast Dragway. The mag turned out really nice. My next OTTA coverage will be at Pine Valley on September 19th followed by another on October 10th at Lonestar. |

We are shooting for a 16 car field minimum. We will be doing two qualifying runs on Saturday before going into the finals. As an added bonus, a local racer is throwing in an extra $500 to the purse. I explained to her that I was in the office when Sam Harvey specifically scheduled all of his upcoming events for our Outlaw 10.5 class around the OTTA schedule as a professional courtesy. I love Bonnie for her ways of choosing to handle business. If there were more people exhibiting the same professional courtesy as Sam and Bonnie, there would be alot less reason to dislike some old man down in Houston. But maybe that's just my opinion. | |

The first round of qualifing will be around 6:00 pm .All classes will run except the index class. The track will be running their normal bracket program, so if the index racers would like they can run with them. THIS IS NOW A DOUBLE POINTS RACE, WITH INCRESED PAYOUTS 4500 TO WIN 1500 R/U THE REMAINING PAYOUT WILL BE THE SAME. The Auguest 15th date for North Star has changed to August 29th. The event will be a "DOUBLE" points race and the payout has increased to 4500 + a set of Mickey Thompons Tires to Win 1500 Runner up The rest of the purse will remain the same at this time for OTTA This race will also include the 8.5 Tires and Ultimate Street. More information to follow in the next few days. |

Sorry that mother nature did not allow us to race but some things we just can not control. Some of the faces I rememer seeing before we all had to bail in the rigs were 8.5 Buoussard Hubbard Long Stewart Holder Buttafuoco Rosencutter Wilsher Cox LeBlanc McEachern U/S Frazier Baker Cannon Calhoun OTTA Curry Swindall Wolfford Dick Diaz Gardner Revia Cram Sneed Melton Valden Huettel Kelley Several called and were told to turn back because the down poor was so bad. I am sure that I might have missed a few names because there was a lot of running around trying to get the cars back in the rigs... Sorry if I missed your name, it is not intentional. I know there was a few others from the Dallas area but the rains came heavy and I had to take sheltor. Again, thanks to all of you that came out to support us. |

David wagner is down, Trevor is down, smallwood is down, Stephen Barnett is down, Matt giliam is down, those are the ones off the top of my head, good news is they are almost back up again so we will see. Might get some of the Austin crew but you never know that is a long haul for them to evadale. |

Date Posted: 05:52:36 07/16/09 Thu I have been having a problem getting my motor to spin above 7000 rpm and I thought it was a valve spring problem, so I pulled a couple valve spings off yesterday and tested them, they were 10 lbs weaker then my new spare set, so I called MSD they told me I need to test my digital 7 box, so does anyone have a digital tester MSD 8996 multi channel tester or MSD 8998 single channel tester I'm willing to pay if I can get some help here, I'm going to replace my plug wires and check a few other things but won't really know if clears up until I make a hit, thanks for any input... |

Make 1st rd at 7 or you will notice the racers not even showing up. Even better find me ONE racer or spectator that wants us to start at 5 or 6!!!! 7 1st rd qual 8 2nd rd qual 9 1st rd elim 10 2nd rd elim 11 3rd rd elim 12 finals!!!!! There is no reason a car can be back up there in 1 hr and if they are not..... run without them!!!! Thats what nhra and every other major organization does! |

Date Posted: 19:49:59 07/09/09 Thu As Bonnie posted earlier, due to unforseen circumstances, she had to cancel her True 10.5 race in Edinburg, Texas on Saturday July 25th. I am here to let anyone who was planning on attending this race that we are still going to have the race on our own. The racers have taken the race and run with it. The entry fee is $100 and it will go directly to a racer to hang on to the cash. The track will have no involvement in this other than give us a place to race. We are also providing trophies to 1st & 2nd place. The payout will be over $2K and the track is offering to chip in some cash based on spectator count. Hope you don't mind me posting this on here Bonnie. It is just that you got the local racers are excited, then the plug was pulled right when the guys were in the middle of getting ready to race. In total, we have 16 cars commited to race. But the more the merrier. Like I said, all entry money collected goes directly to the purse. Nothing goes to the track or anyone else except the winners. Hope you all can make it. Again, the True 10.5 race will be in Edinburg, Texas on Saturday July 25th. Gates will be open at 4:00pm for racers. We will also have a test & tune session on Friday for anyone that wants to make some test hits. And you can camp over night. No matter what you do someone is not going to be happy and decisions have to be made as fair as possible and at the drop of a hat. I think that both Justin and Kyle have done a very good job at looking out for the best interest of the organization. When we have these issues come up, a decision has to be made and we have to get the race back underway. The results of these decisions are usually followed with much drama and there is no turning back the clock so if you think it is an easy task, I assure you that you are mistaken. We are all guilty of being un educated on the proper rulings. I got to commend our committee members for making a call! It might have been a controversial call but I believe that no matter what the ruling would have been it would have caused hard feelings. Let's FINALLY address this and move FORWARD. I understand Rob and Al's aggrivation. I've been there too (under a different circumstance I know). You are both great and well respected racers and teams! Both professionally and personally. Let's do what should be done and take another look at these rules. Maybe we should add two more committee members to the two vacant seats (mine and Kenjo's)just so we can give Kyle and Justin some help... Any idea's racers and promoters??? |

Date Posted: 08:52:56 06/22/09 Mon OTTA Racers: In addition to our Saturday, July 4th OTTA show, NSD has added a Friday Night bonus of $250 for low et. We are inviting all of the OTTA racers to come out Friday Night to test and participate in our Low ET exhibition round to be run at approximately 9pm. The OTTA racer with low et in that dedicated exhibition round will receive $250 cash. On Friday, the driver and up to two additional crew members will receive free admission, and there will be no charge for tech cards for OTTA. You are also more than welcome to stay the night at the track. For additional crew members and family, two day tickets will be available at a discounted price of $25 for pit access and $20 general admission. We are very much looking forward to welcoming OTTA to Denton for the first time and excited about a great show. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Thanks Nick |

Justin Martin Shane Parker Clay Selig Chip Pike Randy Wesmorland Mel Collier Brak Medlock Justin has a new blower combo set up to drag some OTTA ass. 1 Nitrous and the rest are Turbo. They said they got what it takes to set a new record in OTTA, ET, MPH and Track.... Kyle I guess they are taking about you. Justin Curry is down and going to have a new baby which is now late so he can't go, Chad has other obligations.... I hear the best they got is a 5.01....
