I will be headed to Crandall, TX this weekend for our OTTA points race. Kenjo, I know you "claim" you don't wanna run for chump change so I have decided to create a big money race just for you! It's a 2 out of 3. ME vs YOU! OTTA rules and weight. $5,000 to win. You put up $2,500 and I will put up $2,500. I want this to be worth your time so if you wanna make it for more just tell me how much I need to bring! Let me know when you are ready and soon. I know you are not gonna back down since you are the "self proclaimed" fastest True 10 car in Texas. I'm tired of hearing all the bullshit.... Now we are gonna let the cars do the talking!!!!

I would like to thank Bonnie and Tracie for their efforts to give us a place to race, but in saying that I would also like to think that all the cars from Houston would support them in any way possible. I know it's Fathers day weekend , but it was also Easter weekend at Evadale when we all drove down to support your local race . This is the first time we will race at Crandall and it is very important that we have a good car count. Do what you think is right!!! Maybe next year you can run with Joe and Kenjo. The 6500.00 purse that we run for is the same as the KOTH and Pro-mods. Happy Fathers Day.

RPM Magazine Announces Departure of Key Team Member

RPM MAGAZINE - 10 YEARS STRONG!

For Immediate Release June 17, 2009

"Karen Bryant may be gone from the workings of RPM but will always be a close friend to us and contributor to RPM Magazine at some level," explained a solemn Editor In Chief, Chris Biro. "You know, it is one of those things you don't want to do (accepting Karen's resignation) but you know inside you have to. Karen has been a great asset to RPM over the past 3 years and really helped in developing the strong team we have today, but you can't keep a visionary like Karen from pursuing her dream, being part of a large race series. We support her in this decision 100% and have offered to provide full Official Media backing to the series and it's racers."

Karen Bryant, Director Of Race Relations for RPM Magazine, has officially resigned her position effective immediately in order to continue full-time with a new race series that she has helped develop from the ground up and continues to be involved in, United Outlaw Racing Series AKA "UORS" (pronounced "YOURS"), referring to the key elements of the series being directed to benefiting the racers.

"I definitely did not take this decision lightly, but when you get going with two different large projects such as RPM and the New UORS, one day you have to say 'enough is enough' and make that tough call. I do not want to give anything less that my 100% attention and efforts to anything I take on and that is what would have started to happen to one or the other. I will miss everyone greatly but will still be providing RPM with information supporting the UORS series. Everyone at RPM is like family, and so are my racers, so it was a tough decision! But due to the overwhelming response from the southern division racers, and even a number of racers from afar it will be necessary that I put 100% of my focus into race structure, sponsorship retention and contingency payouts that benefit the racers."

Karen can be reached at the United Outlaw Racing Series at

I just wanted to thank everyone that helped us get to this race. Scott Herzog for a great motor and extra effort this week to get it freshend. Lamar Swindoll for taking time out of his day to go through my converter. Kenny Hubbard for all his help. Our crew for three days of straight thrashing to get the car together (Dad, Lance, Jason and Chris Revia). And of course Bonnie and Tracie for giving us a place to race. We got a good bunch of guys and girls in this organization. I can't name one group that shows up to our races, that wouldn't give a fellow racer the shirt off their back if it was needed. Thanks again and we will see ya at the track!

Hey Bonnie,

What about having the index and 8.5 class qualify at 1pm and the OTTA & U/S guys qualify later in the afternoon? Getting suited up in a 5 layer jacket and pants at 1pm in this heat is a killer.

We are going to run a TEXAS 8.5 tire race along with Ult.street and OTTA on the 13th. @ sealy, Bonnie said lets give it a go... We'll be using the exsisting rules for Texas 8.5 -- SB N/A 2900# - SB Nitrous supercharged 3100# - SB Turbo 3350# - BB N/A 3100# -BB nitrous supercharged 3300# - BB turbo 3500# - 6 cylinder 2900# -- no more than 50% weight over rear tires.. ONLY 26x8.5 sidewall designated slicks allowed .. Thats it! pretty much "outlaw" style class, this will be a jackpot race, with a 100% payback to racers, *racers will have to purchase a 20$ tech TNT card .. call Danny for questions 512 -332-1496

This is a Jack pot race, Kyle has added 100.00 so if there is10 cars with 100.00 entry and that will be 1100.00 to purse.

This is your chance to show Houston what 8.5 tires has to offer.

As a loyal member of the OTTA, I would like to suggest something. First off, is there anyway the committee or Bonnie and Tracie could find somebody to log each race on our site... Meaning, is it possible to hire, bribe, beg, etc, somebody to take pictures, keep notes (highlights) as well as update the points for our website? Heck, I would be willing to pay an extra $10-$15 for my tech car to hire such a person. 16 x $10= $160 for someone to report what happened and results. People want to know as well as racers. Second, WHERE THE HELL IS KENJO!?!?!?!
We have a awesome series going! Full fields, packed stands and even competition. It would be great to see some excitement..... Am I gonna have to start talking smack to Justin and Lamar again to get y'all fired up? Where is Craig Offerell when you need him...

As most of you probably already heard, We rechecked Trevor Stripling's motor at Jeff Niser's shop yesterday. It pumped 598 on the first test & 596 on the 2nd test. And, yes, it is the same engine that was in the car at Evandale. With Eddie Conrad's helpful insight, we were able to deduce why the first three engines (including Trevor) pumped "big" at Evandale and have since corrected this for future refrence. Coach "sealed" Trevor's engine after the pump session. As with all U/S engines, if any of the "seals" are broken, you will have to submit to another P&G test to confrim engine c.u. claim. BTW, Coach also verified Trevor's cyl. heads are Brodix BB3's. Thanks Trevor & Jeff for your cooperation & good sportsmanship.

WOW Mike you were able to see inside the motor and tell that the same rotating assembly that was in evadale was at nisers shop a week later! Or that the same short block was on the motor. Lets just say it pumped 598 a week later.

First of all Mike was not the decision maker, he made a statement based on the facts, so to attack him is just stupid. The demonstration that happened on Friday was open to the public, if you feel that you are unsatisified about the results or have the right to voice your thoughts then maybe you should have came to the demonstraton. The rusults are in and a decission has been made so lets move foward. If there was not enough intelegent people at that demonstration to come to a decission then there never will be. This dispute is resolved to the organiations satisfaction......

This is correct we need to move on. If we don't start somewhere with confidentuallity about the way these things are handle, we will get nowhere. It is time for us to get more positive about things, and take one step at a time.
The comments that are coming to the findings, to me should not have anything to say anymore, regardless if the motor was swap out or not. Who will this effect. It only brings out more of the truth in the long haul.
We all know that Trevor has acceded the E.T. & MPH, that some of the other guys has not reach. This does bring controversy among his peers. But that does not make him a cheater, just a combo of question.
Swaping motors or exchanging parts in the motor, to prove a point to me would be obsurb. I would think that would be a bad move on his point. Now that the motor is sealed and withness by the committee that was present and also pictures of the seals, I would think that what ever was done before the test date this past friday, will come to light, in the future of our next races.
Ultimate Street has come up with these rules to keep compartiy in the class. As everyone see it does wake up the dead, and open eyes that your component or youself can be checked at random. When checked a seal will be applied, if the seal is broken, it is the racers responsibility to call the committee to get a recheck of his combo, and resealed. Other than that you are violating the rules and also putting yourself in jeapody of getting removed from the class.
For the guys that got an P & G during the race, look forward to get rechecked, and the ones that have not and is ready to move forward please contact us so that we can set up a date, a possible weekend, to get alot of these testing out of the way, so that we don't have to bother you on race day.
Thanks Bonnie for showing your concern about your U/S class and the racers that races in it.

8. Sneed,
9. Wolfford,
10.Gardner,

How are we looking in Ultimate Street, I know we have:
Calhoun, Chad Smallwood, David Wagner, Pipeline, Dawhite, Stephen Barnett.

I am expecting big supprises in this group this season. The committee has been working very hard to improve Car Count, rules and organization, so I am excited about what this group is going to bring to the table.

Let’s hear guys and gals... How many cars do we have ready for the season. I heard Rodney and Al are coming from Dallas and Shane and Justin are coming from Arkansas, Shane is still chasing that paint money and thinks he might have a shot at it this time.

Just to let all of you know, some of the tracks we will be racing at this season does not have scales so Larry Webb have bought us a set so we don't have to be bums, please join me in giving him a big thank you when you see him.

We need all the help we can get and little things like this is a big help for Tracie and me. We get called enough names and we don't want to add bum's to the list.

Sorry guys, I had to get David to delete the flyer due to a mistake that I made. Some of you had already posted that you would be there and that was deleted... Not Intentional. “My Bad”!

We heard from:

Wolfe, Virus, Calhoun, Big Will, Rodney, Shane, Justin Martin, Harvey, Sneed,

Is there more?

I have received many calls again…………. This time about a post you made on HRG.

I don’t understand why we just can’t agree to disagree, you have your opinion and I decided to let each racer have their own opinion about their own car. Sweet and Simple!

People can race where ever they want. They have lots of options, Bars, No Bars, or Choice of bars, 1/8 mile ¾ or 1/4, here there and/or yonder.

Pick and choose what works for you. As far as your comment “don't need or want our slow asses”. WOW! Tracie and I were on the starting line discussing what to do the minute we saw the first pass in the 4.70’s and made a decision to put up a second chance race before the next car ever went down the track. That decision was made because we do want your slow ass, so why don’t you just race where you want, when you want and be happy….

See you at the races,

Bonnie

1. To outlaw racer, Why do you continue to worry yourself with the rules of the TXDRL true ten five class? If you are who I think you are, you don't even have a car to run in this class. Also, the otta rules are exactly what you wanted, to the letter, so run there, thanks for all of your help and good luck in the future.

2. To Bonnie and Tracie, Bonnie, I called you before the otta meeting and said that I personally did'nt like bars. You said you would take it into consideration and said that the members would vote on it. I said fine and told you that there was no need for us to be at the meeting because if it was a vote then let the chips fall where they may. I wasn't going to worry about it. There ended up being no vote and everything in the rules changed, So Joe and I talked and he said he would give the no bars limited street deal a shot for 4 races. If it fails then we make changes and go from there. I want it to be real limited street rules, just like ORSCA. Joe kinda jumped the gun this first race and allowed otta rules without bars so this race we go with that. If nobody will show up for these first few races and we fail miserably,it will show that ya'll were right. I'll be the first to admit that if it happens. I never said that we weren't going to run with otta this year. I know we are slow and all these people can beat us in reverse (major tipoff as to the author of that post) But as we read your posts about us, it's obvious that you don't need or want our slow asses. So good luck to ya'll and I hope you have a great season, cause in the end it's all about the racers...... right?

3. As far as wheelie bars being a safety item. Go check the safety record of ORSCA limited street for the last 3 years. How many true ten cars have wrecked there with no wheelie bars vs. our true ten cars for 1 year here with wheelie bars. It is not even close.
Wheelie bars will keep you from tearing up the front end when you are too aggressive, but doesn't good judgement and personal responsibility enter into that somewhere? How do they help you going through the traps like David Reese in Phenix city? If we are going to lay everything on wheelie bars being a safety issue, then we also need to address these issues first, fire systems, chassis certifications, bump steer issues, hans devices, correct driving equipment i.e. gloves, shoes, etc. In closing all I'm saying is don't try to label something a safety hazard to get a personal agenda passed.
If you choose to run in the Texas Drag Racing League, we welcome you and like to extend our gratitude for your support. If not then good luck to you in whatever class you run.

Subject: Todd Moyers crashes at HMP Saturday night

Date Posted: 08:52:14 03/23/09 Mon

Todd Moyer suffered a bad crash and HMP Saturday night, Todd is a icon to the racing community and we are sad to report this accident, but we are happy to say that he is still here with us and will be racing again soon.

Good luck Todd on a speedy return.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Take a good look at the Extreme 10.5 2000 Firebird that Todd Moyer snagged a $5,000 Flowmaster bonus with earlier this month by running over 185 mph (187.05) in ADRL qualifying at Houston Raceway Park.
‘Cause you won’t see it again.
The good news is that Moyer spoke with your Agent this afternoon and sounded in good spirits despite being sore all over after going through a harrowing crash the night before. “I feel like I just went through a WWE match where they body slammed me from the top rope,” Moyer said. “And I’ve got a black eye—my first ever—that looks like Hulk Hogan beat me up. I can’t believe how sore I am, but at least nothing’s broken and the doctors said I’ll be fine.”
Moyer was at his Pasadena, TX, race shop where he, crew chief Chad Rogers and a couple of helpers were busy disassembling the record-setting ‘Bird. “Oh yeah, it’s totaled,” he confirmed. “The motor, transmission, one fire bottle and the rear wing made it through okay, but every wheel, every spindle, every bracket is all bent out of shape. The chassis is flexed and bent all over; I don’t think anyone would ever be able to make it work right again. So we’re making two piles of good parts and bad parts and it’s very easy to see which pile is bigger.”
Remarkably, Moyer also said he expects to be at South Georgia Motorsports Park Apr. 10-11, for the Hardee’s Georgia Drags V. “I’ve got three leads on potential chassis right now and hopefully we’ll have one within a week or so,” he said. “I’ve got to sit down and see if we can move some things around, sell a few things and get the money to get this done. You’re fixin’ to see a big fire sale here. I’ve already got a couple of motors for sale and if I can move just one I should be able to get the chassis.”
Regarding the accident itself, Moyer doesn’t remember much, but he’s already seen a video shot from the eighth-mile Houston Motorsports Park stands that shows his car start smoking its tires about half-track, turn sideways and then grab and dart to the right wall when he let off the gas. Contrary to early reports, the car sideswiped the right wall—which is when Moyer assumes he was knocked out and somehow his helmet gave him the black eye—and headed back across both lanes where it solidly impacted its nose against the left wall about 200 feet past the finish line and spun the car around backwards. It continued backward until going off the end of the track where the onboard computer registered 3.4 Gs when it finally stopped in the catch fence.
“That’s the first time I’ve ever gone through something like that,” Moyer said. “I was able to tell them where I was and what day it was when they got to me, but I really didn’t know how bad it was. They wanted to cut my car up to get me out, but I wouldn’t let them, so they let me sit in there for about four minutes before someone said, ‘Okay, you’ve got to try and get out if you’re able,’ and I did. They still strapped me to a backboard and took me to the hospital, but I pretty much knew I was okay.”
So, even if SGMP fans won’t get to see the fastest XTF car on the planet, at least it sounds like they’ll get to meet its driver. Good news, indeed.

Moyer Crashes in Texas
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

It’s 1 a.m. EST Sunday morning (Mar. 22) and your Agent just got off the phone with Chad Rogers, crew chief for Extreme 10.5 star Todd Moyer (right), who confirmed Moyer crashed heavily at Houston Motorsports Park Saturday night and was transported to a local hospital for tests and observation.
Rogers said Moyer was alert, but dazed upon being extricated from his twin-turbocharged 2000 Firebird after hitting both walls at speed in the final round of a local XTF race against fellow Texan Steve Gorman when the accident occurred.
“We were in the left lane and all of a sudden about 400 feet out the car just turned right and hit the wall at about a 45-degree angle,” Rogers described. “I don’t know how he (Moyer) didn’t hit Steve; I don’t even know if he passed in front or behind him, I was just freaking out watching what happened. But I think he was knocked out then because the car then went across and hit the left wall and just kept going down the track at probably 120 or 130 miles an hour. It went right through the sand trap and hit some barrels they had stacked down there and knocked down the catch fence after that. It stopped probably 50 feet from the ditch and the road down there.”
Rogers said Moyer was wearing his HANS device and thankfully he didn’t think his driver and close friend suffered any serious injuries, though Moyer’s chin was cut in the crash. He expects Moyer will be released from the hospital later today.
The car, however, was “totaled,” he said.
“The frame rail is all bent over, the turbos and the front of the engine is all smashed in, both doors are missing, it’s pretty torn up,” a clearly dejected Rogers said. “We had everything tied up in that car; we’ll be lucky if we can even come back at all this year.”
Not the type of news your Agent likes to report, but he joins the entire ADRL community in wishing Todd a speedy recovery and return to competition as soon as possible.
