Date Posted: 10:32:58 11/21/08 Fri When you are troubled or depressed: 1. Long for God. Psalms 42:1-2 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?2. Call out to God. Ps 3:4 ¶ I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah3. Rest in Him. Ps 3:5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. Ps 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.4. Know that He hears. Ps 6:8 ¶ Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. Ps 31:22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.5. Know that He sees. Ps 10:14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. Ps 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.6. Acknowledge that He is a keeper. Ps 17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings. 7. Praise God. Ps 35:18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. Ps 109:30 I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.8. Seek restoration and witness to others. Ps 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.9. Keep praying. Ps 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD |

Author: Bonnie [Edit] |
Date Posted: 08:37:53 11/18/08 Tue ![]() By webb_bonnie Justin, I would just like to give you a special big thank you for being part of OTTA. I can't think of any racer who has ever shown more loyalty to a program. Justin started the season off strong and with all odd against him he still managed to come in 3rd. Out of 7 race's Justin won 1 and runner up a couple of times. "BUT" what some of you may not know is that out of those 7 races Justin Blew up his engine 4 different times, Rented a car to use 1 time and caught on fire with his Brand new car at the last race. So the finals was big for Justin Curry. He went home in one piece and with his engine all in tack for the first time this season. If anyone deserves and award for a Hard Luck story, Justin does. Thanks Justin Curry for running with us and if I ever get in trouble I hope you got my back because I know that you are loyal. |
| [> Subject: Look at Don Dick, I think he has changed his engine due to being blow up after every race. In fact at one race in Baytown, he went home and did some machine work and managed to get back to the track and make first round. Thanks Don for running with us. | |

| [> Subject: I guess my next hard luck story would go to Chad Revia, Chad sent his car off over the winter to convert to Turbos, showed up at the ADRL first race this season and busted off in the 4.80's first rattle out of the box. That car was extreemly impressive and really turns some heads. I'm not sure exactly what happen but I think he just had too much horse power for the cars so he was having a hard time keeping the car straigt. Chad swithed cars in between races and had to miss one due to this but then came out fighting the new car to find the power. Here come Texas Vs The World and he finds the power running a 4.95 and a 4.92 but then looses oil Pressure and has to set out the rest of the season. Thanks Chad for running with us and I know that next year you will lay down some big numbers. | |

These two gentlemen have been duking it out all season. Here you have you serious Chevy vs Ford and Turbo vs Nitrous Story. If one would run a 4.85 the other would run a 4.83 and one would come back with 4.82 and other 4.80 then we hit the 70's one with 4.79 the other with a 4.78 then we hit the 60's one with a 4.67 the other with 4.71. God only knows what one more pass would do, but I assure you that Kenjo can and will back up the 4.67 and Kyle can and will top it. I don't were they will call it a finish for the dual but I can tell you that I have had one hell of good time watching them do it. Thanks Kyle and Kenjo for running with us this season. |

| [> Subject: It's not a record unless its backed up. Props to Kenjo on that pass, car was flying but when you have to tow the car through the water box with your 4 wheeler just to break the beams next round does you no good. If everyone put there tune up on kill we would have a fast ladder with no cars able to make the call for eliminations! I believe the record stands with Kyle's 4.71 which he made about 4 passes after that also in the 70's and won the race! Congrats Kyle and Kenjo on a good season! BTW Looks like if Kyle wouldnt have missed 1 race he would have one the Ring! The 50 point bonus put Kenjo on top. Cant wait till next year! | |

But there are points in black and white under the rules that are not being added to all the racer's scores. Chad might very well still win. Date Posted: 19:40:53 11/16/08 Sun This has already been addressed and Kevin is going to put the new video up tomorrow after work.... he just was not aware of the back up rule. However, Kenjo's pass was a killer pass and he does deserve a complement on that pass. It's not every day that you get to see the type of passes that we have seen this season in OTTA and they all should be congratulated. Here is a copy of the email that I sent to Kevin as soon as I saw the video. Hey Kevin, Thanks for the Video but I am going to get in trouble (lol) Actually Kenjo did not back the number up so it will not be counted as a record by us or any other organization but Kyle's 4.71 was backed up and therefore is the current record holder... I know... it sucks because that was one hell of a pass. Is there anyway that you can post Kyle's 4.71 pass as current record holder due to the number being backed up? Thanks, Bonnie |

We have 3 confirmed dates at Houston Raceway Park for the High Velocity team, OTTA and Ultimate Street. April 18, 2009 June 13, 2009 October 3, 2009 I have other dates and other tracks that we are working with but I wanted to get these dates out. I feel that 2009 is going to be a great season for High Velocity, OTTA and Ultimate Street. We will post 4 additional dates in the next couple of weeks. So that will be 7 points races for next season. Do you want more? |

Once this last race is done, I will put the schedule up. I have 3 races already scheduled at HRP and looking to schedule 4 to 7 more depending on what the racer want. I will ask that questions in the drivers meeting this Saturday. I feel that 7 is a good number for the season. We would love to somehow bring the rules together for Ultimate Street and TTT5 and work with all parties to keep clean dates and have the majority of the racers support both organizations. We will be working on this hard starting next week and gearing up for the PRI show in Flordia in December. All these decisions need to be made before the PRI show in December.

|
Author: Bonnie [Edit] |
Date Posted: 06:24:43 11/09/08 Sun This gets better every day. C & T Racecars has added a new set of M/T 10.5 tires in Ultimate Street for the Runner Up! 2nd chance race added to OTTA for the Grand Finale on November 15, 2008 We would like to give something back to all the guys that have came out and supported us all season but ended up on the bottom part of the ladder. For the final points race we will add a 2nd chance race. OTTA payout $ 2500.00 Winner $ 1000.00 Runner up $ 250.00 Semi $ 175.00 QTR $ 100.00 8-16 The payout for the 2nd chance race is $1000.00 to the Winner $ 500.00 to the Runner up This will be for 1st round losers and Non Qualifiers. You will still get your funds for the first race, this is just a little something extra to say Thank You from the High Velocity Team for supporting us all season. Over the last few races we have seen some killer numbers pop up in the 4.70 range. We do not want racers who may not be able to run those types of numbers to loose interest so we are looking for a way to keep everyone happy and participating for next season. We don't want to slow our front runners down and we don't want to run anyone off. We want to grow bigger and better. This is a last minute fix for the end of this season but I assure you that we will come up with a solutions that will be a happy mix for next season. So tune those cars and get ready for the finals November 15, 2008 at Ben Bruce Memorial Raceway in Evadale Texas. See you at the races |

Date Posted: 06:09:03 11/09/08 Sun First annual Spring Stampede Preseason Test Session Feb. 27- Mar. 1 at Houston Raceway Park presented by WWW.DRAGRACEHOSE.COM Baytown, TX- Officials for Houston Raceway Park today announced the first annual Spring Stampede Preseason Test Session presented by DragRaceHose.com which will take place Feb. 27-Mar. 1, 2009, at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas. Organizers expect race teams in the NHRA, IHRA, and the ADRL sanctions to participate in this preseason test to tune their hot rods for the 2009 season. Houston Raceway Park benefits from incredible atmospheric conditions because of its proximity to Trinity Bay, which feeds the facility cool air. “During this off season we are going to grind our concrete launch pad to ensure we have the smoothest racing surface possible. The track will be in tip-top shape for the ground pounding 8,000 horsepower machines that need ideal track conditions,” said track GM Seth Angel. “We know that the ADRL will open its 2009 season here, the NHRA O’Reilly Spring Nationals are set for March 27-29th, and this test session will allow everyone a chance to fine-tune their set-ups both for our race and the upcoming season.” Houston Raceway Park is also scheduled to host two NHRA South Central Division events, May 15-17th and July 24-25th. Sportsman racer Will Hanna, owner of DragRaceHose.com and webmaster for the popular sportsman websites InsideTopAlcohol.com, InsideCompRacing.com and InsideFastBrackets.com, has worked closely with the track to organize the event. “With the schedule falling the way it does next year, this is a perfect combination of schedule, venue and conditions,” stated Hanna. “Usually the Division 4 schedule kicks off in late February or early March, but they have pushed that back this year, so it will make it easier for the local teams to get ready to test. It’s the week after the Phoenix NHRA national, so the Pro teams will be on their way from Phoenix to Gainesville, Fla. So it’s right on the way for them. Not to mention, its right before the ADRL season opener here at this track. “Having experience myself with high horsepower cars, it’s very difficult to find the right conditions to test and actually learn something,” Hanna continued. “Without having a decent amount of high horsepower cars going down the track, it’s hard to duplicate race day type conditions. That won’t be our problem with this event. There will be plenty of cars and great conditions. I’m proud to have my company, DragRaceHose.com’s name associated with it.” Top Fuel Dragster and Nitro Funny Car Teams: No charge—all teams must pre-register prior to Monday, February 23, 2009. Please contact Seth Angel at (281) 383-7223 or e-mail: seth@houstonraceway.com for additional information. Professional and Semi-Professional Teams: Pro Stock, Pro Stock Bike, Pro Mod, ADRL Professional Categories: Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Extreme 10.5, & Pro Extreme Motorcycle Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Pro Street, Outlaw 10.5. Cost to test is $150 if you pre-register, $200 after deadline (includes car and driver plus two crew) and is valid for entire weekend. Pre-Registration Deadline: Monday, February 16, 2009 Sportsman Teams: Open to any Lucas Oil Sportsman team or any NHRA E.T. category. | Subject: More money for the OTTA final points race
|
Author: Bonnie and Tracie [Edit] |
Date Posted: 06:34:36 11/04/08 Tue 2nd chance race added to OTTA for the Grand Fanale on November 15, 2008 We would like to give something back to all the guys that have came out and supported us all season but ended up on the bottom part of the ladder. For the final points race we will add a 2nd chance race. The payout is $1000.00 to the Winner $ 500.00 to the Runner up This will be for 1st round losers and Non Qualifiers. If you qualify in the top half 1-8 of the field you can not perticipate in the second chance race. You will still get you funds for the first race, this is just a little something extra to say Thank You from the High Velocity Team for supporting us all season. Over the last few races we have seen some killer numbers pop up in the 4.70 range. We do not want racers who may not be able to run those types of numbers to loose interest so we are looking for a way to keep everyone happy and perticipating for next season. See you at the races Bonnie and Tracie |

|
Author: Bonnie [Edit] |
Date Posted: 17:12:39 10/29/08 Wed I know that there is some concern about the ET's getting a wide spread. So I would like to address these issues before we have cars that loose interest. This has been a good season for the Newly created OTTA and I would like to see it grow even bigger in 2009. My thoughts are that we could do a couple of different things, we could split the field and have two class's of 8 car fields, maybe 1 that is 5.0 and faster and 1 for up to 5.0 something of that nature or we could have a second chance race for 1st rd looser. I am certaintly open to idea's to keep this from getting out of control. I feel that if we don't do something we will have cars that loose interest. This is the last thing that we want to happen. We have 'all" done our part this year to make this a successful organization so we need to grow from here. If you have other ideas that will help make this a better organization, please feel free to bring up your concerns. We have come too far to stop now! |
| [> Subject: Bonnie give me a call or if your able come to the Denton race this weekend, I have an ideal for this class to continue to grow. 214-763-3587 or e-mail at rodney@royal glass. net | |

Date Posted: 18:05:55 10/28/08 Tue Yesterday on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed. Once in the restaurant my server had on an "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference -- just imagine the coincidence. When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight. I went outside, gave the homeless guy $5 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful. At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the m oney he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more. I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application! now who you going to vote for? |

Author: dale spectator [Edit] Date Posted: 04:09:21 10/19/08 Sun he never runs that fast at a tex true 10.5 race cuz they tech there cars. Coach dont look at shit!!!!!!!!!!!!! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: 2 kits Author: The other racer [Edit] Date Posted: 05:24:54 10/19/08 Sun If you are smarter than Coach, why don't you find the two kits and point it out to every one. I seen Coach always checking these guys hood, even mind several times when he's walking around checking up on every one. I hear there has been a bitch about the two bottles on serveral people cars, and he only had one on it. after the 140 pass. TTT5 had not found him running two kits and they check him all the time. This guy had been running 139 to 140 all year. Why don't you relieve Coach of being the tech guy and you become the tech guy I think that he will love that. Scaling the cars, gettting the guys to the line. Keeping the stats. I bet nobody want his job. Then getting bitch at about other racers think they are cheating.
