I'd like to add as well the fact that simply being a rock 'n' roll band is a profound fuckin' thing anyway... rock 'n' roll in all its primal simplicity as a social, cultural and political movement changed the 20th Century far more than Bauhaus or any other art movement, whether the Lost Generation or Beat Generation, anyway... and The Monks were one of the most sublime rock 'n' roll acts of all time...
