Those statements do not necessarily represent all Muslims. They appear to represent the attitudes and beliefs of a select group of Muslims who appear to be fanatics. Somebutnotall, as the writer Robert Anton Wilson wrote in another context.
One cannot judge Islam--or any religion--by the behavior of its most extreme adherents--i.e., fundamentalists who use scripture to justify any action. One must appraise Muslims, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Jainists, etc. as individuals--
Jew1, Jew2, et.al.--as opposed to the false logic of "All X are Y."
For more on this I recommend any and all books by Robert Anton Wilson and Alfred Korzybski, especially his masterwork SCIENCE AND SANITY.
