Subject: Monks played on Bob's Scratchy Records, KDHX - St. Louis

Hi Monk people,

I discovered The Monks on a radio show I've been listening to over the internet out of St. Louis. The show is called "Bob's Scratchy Records" and is on radio station KDHX every Friday from Noon to 2 pm Central time. It's only on for two hours a week and none of the programmers get paid, so you know they are dedicated and love the music they're playing. It is a community radio station where they depend on their listeners pledging money to keep them going. Bob Reuter is the host. He is the coolest radio personality I've ever heard. He plays everything from down n' dirty blues, rockabilly, 60s, garage, punk, rockin' gospel... whatever he feels like playing! He's played "Monk Time" and "Drunken Maria" on his show so far, and talked about The Monks - giving a little history on them. I am a faithful listener of Bob's Scratchy Records and I am posting this message in hopes that some of The Monks will read it and know that they are being played on the radio for all the world to hear, because he has international listeners. Some of us Bob's Scratchy Records fans have gotten together and we call ourselves Missionaries in the Bob's Scratchy Records Movement. Hope some of you Monks fans will join us and give it a listen! You never know what you're gonna hear. And here's a message to The Monks: I just obtained your CD "Monk Time" (a Scratchy Records Brother got it for me at Rockaround in Las Vegas a few days ago) and I absolutely love it! You were WAY ahead of your time. Please come to Phoenix, AZ and play a show there! We would love to see you!
