The only true way to find out which they are would be to take a picture of them along side what you know is either old or new. Since you're not sure and from your description, it sounds like they could be either. If the bases are clear white, I would guess they are new because if they were old they would probably be faded or Yellowish from age. THe old Cobalt was dropped in 1951. Wish I could be of more help
