Hi Alexis. It sounds like your child is starting to accept the situation. I advise you to watch the resistance, though. I think if it's really strong you might think about slacking off for a while. This will work if he really has some obvious feminine tendencies. If he shows real femininity, then I think you might go all the way for the summer. Getting a cute hairstyle and seeing how he accepts it should guide you in getting an ear piercing. Right now my child is spending part of his summer as a girl with a friend of mine who also is mom to a really sweet new girl that is living in total deep stealth and will be starting high school that way this fall. My child will be going into eighth grade then but is quite ambivalent about permanence, if you know what I mean. But when he wants to be a girl, he wants to really be like a girl all the way and I have to say is also really good at it. We are into counselling with this and our Councillor feels that we shouldn't push it either way at this time. He is, however on low dose luprin to slow down puberty so he will have a clean slate to go either way. from my experience, there's no easy way to deal with this and you really need to be carefull all the way.
Hope this helps,

Franchesca C.
