Hi Denise,
I officiated the play wedding and we did it with the whole ceremony -- Katelyn had a couple bridesmaids (girl friends of hers), with vows, the ring and all... We rented one of those white tents and invited a bunch of her friends and their parents over for the wedding. Katelyn got to walk down the aisle in her "wedding" dress and veil and everything, and she and her friend Ryan did vows and she got a ring.
And yes, they kissed! It was adorable! If your daughter and her friend are comfortable with kissing, I don't see why not, but I would never force any child to kiss anyone. Ryan's mother and I left it up to them, and they were ok with kissing after they were pronounced "husband and wife." We even had a pretend marriage certificate and unofficially changed Katelyn's last name to Ryan's, so she could be a "Mrs."
After the wedding ceremony, we had a lovely reception with fun games and dances, and Katelyn and Ryan were able to slow dance for as long as they wanted. We also had a cute wedding cake that they cut together. That evening, we took Katelyn and Ryan out for dinner to celebrate.
Feel free to email me at karenmc35@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Karen
