Hey Joanie. That's the current strategy: keep it long and neatly trimmed. It's been that way for a while actually. He's been growing it out for a couple of years and it's definitely what I would consider long now, reaching well below shoulders.

However, the reason that I'm contemplating something a little more is that his hair is thick and heavy and the longer it gets, the flatter it gets. So I was thinking that some layering might give it really nice body. I have to admit that I'd like to go as far as having some layers to frame his pretty face. Something like this style from a younger Selena Gomez

But so far, I haven't decided to go for that.
