Hi, Dave. I understand what you are thinking. In reality there's always a chance for that. It's happened to me too many times back in high school. Looking back, it's part of the normal drama for that age group. We get hartbroken and I guess the guys do to. Trans kids have a lot of emotional overload as it is. We as parents must always strive to keep our communications open and safe. My daughter and I have good talks sometimes just at the drop of a hat. Any time is a good time. I like it best when I'm combing her hair. I think that's always been a safe time for us. I think as a parents, we also need to have open and frank, but easy talks about things that can happen that may not be very pleasant.
