      • Whats so crazy about all this is someone put a class together so we can go race and have fun, then some of the cars started having possibilties of going faster than the last couple seasons so there was a cap put on the class to Prevent that from happening(where there was no cap before)and some went in panic thinking everyone should run 4.65, the cap was placed there so they wouldnt get any faster, the slower cars will stand a better chance with this cap rather than not having one at all, jojo did win the last event shutting off early but you got to leave with him or it dont matter how fast he is, he put a tenth on a 4.80 car on the tree which means he could of won the race by running 4.90's, the cap was to protect the slower cars so that 4.50 cars wouldnt invade (NT) -- bill, 04/29/09 15:50

  • You know all you guys are crying about rules....... What the hell, the rules don't make a damn bit of difference when you have an ET cap on the class. If you have an ET cap then it is nothing more than a index race. I agree there should be some rules but the chassis design and style is not going to make a car any more competitive when there is a cap on how fast you can run. If you really want to make it competitive put a max tire size of 31x10.5w tire and then have the cap. I do not care for the 4.65 cap myself but I knew it was there when I signed up to race with the group. I'm not even close to running a 4 anything so the cap whatever it is will be out of my reach.   • The mustang in question will no longer run with this organization. There was a mixup on the rules being vague about bolt on which left a gap. It has been corrected. Robert's car has no problem with a cap. He just can't run faster than a 4.65 . Someone mentioned that a lot of slow cars this year....not true. For the last two years some of the cars have run in the 5.70 range on the high end. Now we have some more coming to have a good time. And they are faster than a 5.70. I finally got my car to where I think it could be competitive in heads up racing even though I tend to hurt alot of parts trying to make the SBF run fast enough to compete. But I still bring the car out and race. If yall do not want new comers coming out and trying to race I can always take the nitrous off the car and return it to strictly bracket racing.
