Subject: Mom's r/t method

Mom always had the same procedure for taking my temp. If I was not in my room when it was time for my temp, she'd find me and tell me that it was time for temp and to go up to my room and she'd be right up. I'd do as she instructed, and wait for her while I sat on the edge of my bed. She'd soon come in with the thermometer (still in its case) and petroleum jell and some kleenex in her hand, and sit down on the side of my bed next to me and tell me to go ahead and take my pants off. Once they were off and I was in my underwear, she'd pat her lap and have me lay across it. Once across her knees, she would pull my undershorts down, then remove the thermometer from its case (I can still hear the little popping noise the cap made when she removed it) and then shake the thermometer down before lubricating it. She'd separate my little bottom with a finger and thumb, and would say "ready?" just before inserting the thermometer. I don't know how long she'd hold it in, but there never was alot of conversation while she waited for it to register.

Ted-I had very similar experiences having my temperature taken. Sometimes I was in the living room or another part of the house. Also, after I took my pants off, she would lower my underpants before putting me over her lap. Once the thermometer was in, she would place her hand over my buttocks while my temperature registered

The hand across the bottom was memorable.

My mom always pulled my pants and underpants down, either she would pull them down to my feet, or remove them fully.She would then lie me on my bed, on my back, and would then go to fetch the thermometer. When she came back, she then lifted my legs by my feet, and inserted the thermometer into my butthole. She held my feet up all the time, until she pulled the thermometer out.
