I know this doesn't happen today, but I've heard that before the 70s or 80s it wasn't uncommon in many scools for students to be spanked pants down in class. This was when teachers had a free hand in spanking and could spank students as they liked. Does anyone remember this taking place at his or her school?

Getting a paddling in high school had an element of humiliation or embarrassment for most by its mere happening. Was there one "worst paddling" or most embarrassing you got in high school that probably will never be forgotten?

My best friend's grandfather had a paddle that had been in his family for generations going back to his great, great grandfather. The summer I was 13, I unfortunately earned the honor of being the only non-family member to be spanked with it. My best friend and I had been caught smoking, as well as, selling cigarettes to other kids our age, and we had also been defiant and disrespectful despite many warnings to change our behavior. Our parents decided to put an end to our delinquent streak by giving us a consequence we wouldn’t soon forget. When my friend’s grandfather heard that his grandson along with his best friend was in need of correction he offered our dads the use of his relic oak paddle along with the accommodations of his woodshed. Both dads accepted his suggestion and the timeless paddle was officially handed down to my friend’s father. The next day my friend and I were taken over his grandfather's woodshed so the heirloom paddle could be put to use on our bare bottoms. It was very embarrassing having to walk out to the woodshed in front of my friend’s grandparents, aunt and uncle, and my friend’s female cousin who was our age with all of them knowing that we would both be lowering our trousers for a well deserved paddling. On the way to the shed I was grateful that they wouldn’t be seeing our punishment, but at the same time I realized that everyone would be able to hear our spankings through the small open windows and thin walls of the woodshed. As I walked into the shed with my friend followed by our dads and the grandfather and heard the door shut, I was sincerely hoping that it was all just a bad dream and that I would wake up, but that didn’t happen.
A little while later with our trousers back up and our bottoms still ablaze, the woodshed door opened and out came two embarrassed crying boys who were very willing to quit smoking and more than ready to become obedient and respectful.

PARENTS: have you used spanking as a method of discipline with your children because that was the way your parents punished you for misbehaving growing up?

TEENS: if you got spanked for misbehaving, even now as a teen, do you think you'll later spank your children?

Did you have a PE or Sports Coach who used a paddle when necessary to teach good sportsmanship & compliance to class & team rules?
How many guys got their butt whacked for cutting practice, poor sportsmanship on court/field, snapping towels in shower, etc., to their jockstrap or jock butt?

Our high school principal had a strap but fortunately I never felt it myself, though I was warned after caught cheating as a freshman it would happen jeans pulled down if ever caught cheating again.

Curious if other principals used a strap & if anyone got it across their hands or butts at school.

Here is another topic.

When you misbehaved in public would you be taken aside, maybe given a swat or two over your pants and quietly told that when they got you home you were going to get a sound spanking?

Would your parents always then follow through on that promise?

Thanks for setting up a monitored board. I will start it off with a question that I've never seen anywhere else. People are always talking about whipping, belting or strapping, which I'm glad to say I never had to experience, but in addition to regular spankings (which were pretty standard in our house), did anyone get a couple of swats on the seat of the pants for ridiculously little things? This has always happened with 5-6 year olds, but when it happens to older kids it can be pretty embarrassing, especially in front of neighbors or out in public.

Our high school principal had a frat-style wood with two rows of drilled holes. With parent consent, you could get swats bent over his desk from 9th through 12th grade.

Was there a paddle at your high school? Did you experience it or were you sent home with a note for mom/dad to deal with you?

Did anybody here ever get spanked by a brother or sister? I usually got it from my step-mom but sometimes she didn't have time and would give the job to my step-brother, and sometimes he was even put in charge of me and my other brothers and could punish us if necessary.

do not recall specific words that were always used before a paddling. I knew that awful second when I knew I had gone too far--and my bare butt was getting paddled. My mom paddled us (boys) most ofr the time growing up cause she was always home--she would spank us as we went up stairs behind us----but when we got upstairs she paddled our bare butts over her-kneewhether 5 or 14---I do recall my dad made us waitfor only a few moments--this is in high school yrs and it was very infrequent----We had to go upstairs bend our bare butts over the end of the bed- and wait-The waiting though momentary--made me nervous It made me feel foolish to have my butt up and out there---waiting like a 5 yr old. It was rare to have that happen though.
