I am sure that mine will be an unpopular, minority position on this subject but here is my two cents.

Here is something I found on the Congressional Institute web page:

A Constitutional privilege grants basic immunity from some arrests while Congress is in session, something originally assured in Article I, Section 6 of the Constitution:

"They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place."

I am not a constitutional law expert, nor even an attorney. And I do not advocate diplomats avoiding parking tickets not trying to get away with criminal acts by shouting "diplomatic immunity." But there are laws on the books to protect our legislators and official government representatives so that they may be free from hindrance in the performance of their duties.

I do not agree with what Senator Larry Craig allegedly did in the airport restroom. But the news media (and obviously the police officer who arrested him) made an issue over the fact that he supposedly flashed his business card and said "what do you think about that?"

Apparently what the cop SHOULD have "thought" was to ask the Senator if he was enroute to or from a Session. If the answer was yes, and he was able to verify that Craid was indeed who he said he was, then nothing further should have happened. That's only my opinion of course, but it does stand to reason if the facts presented are correct.

Most people resent that certain people enjoy special privileges of any sort even down to handicapped parking. They set themselves up as judge and jury and protest...WHY DOES HE GET AWAY WITH THAT....(and I can't?) And I believe THAT is the real issue. That THEY do not get away with whatever it is the privileged person does. But that;s life and it is not always fair or just. But we have laws and although Craig should be setting an example, the cop should be as well. And he should have known the laws and have cut the Senator some slack based on ALL the facts.

If we don't like it that there is such a thing as Congressional Privilege, then change the law or repeal it. (Good luck.) But it is on the books and it states that you do not arrest such people as Larry Craig when they are heading off to vote! And that's that. And even if this particulr privilege did not apply perfectly to the situation, the officer should have used his discretion (and his BRAIN) to let the guy go. HE could always have gotten an arrest warrant later once he checked out the laws and facts further. DUUUUUUH!

Maybe in the end the vice cop who likes to sit in a mens room all day to catch "toe tappers" will be demoted and will instead be writing parking tickets to those who park on the red line outside the airport.

- Yes it's been in the press here in the UK. The play itself is a bit depressing and Radcliffe's acting is just OK. He's not shy in the nude scene which comes late in the play. Originally his character would also have been nude at the end of Act 1 - it has been changed for some reason and it sounds odd because his character makes reference to being naked on the back of the horse - this particular part of the plot is all done in flashback He's good looking guy and if you want to see him clearly in all his glory get seats down front. While channel surfing today, I happend to catch a short part of a show called "Phil of the Future". What caught my eye, however, was gorgeous stud muffin Ricky Ullman. According to info on the Web, he is just 20. I did notice, in the short time I watched the scene in his bedroom, that the beautiful young man has some nice pits and even some hair on his chest.

Does anyone know if hot Mr. Ullman is gay? I can picture him with a number of other "short" celebs. There are no pictures that I can find that show any hint of him not clothed. There must be something out there that reveals more of the cutie-pie.
