Subject: I mean their gowns were not spectacular stage gowns. All of AJ's gowns are beautiful but the choices were not necessarily the right gown for the stage. It has nothing to do with AJ so dont try and make drama where their is none. It doesn't matter who makes the gown, wether it be mass produced or custom, it needs to be the gown that the girl loves and feels the best in. Labels dont matter. FYI - Aj is not a gown sponsor.

In reply to: Total USA supporter 's message, "I am not quite sure what you mean by "The few girls that we have had make the 15 have not been in spectacular gowns, but still made it in." Are you saying that the girls weren't spectacular in that portion or that the gowns themselves weren't that spectacular? As a gown sponsor, I am sure AJ Silva would be very saddened to hear that's how your felt about the gowns. I think an original design is much better than a mass produced Jovani number." on 10:48:02 06/08/09 Mon

The year I attended at the Sheraton, he had two of his gowns on display and Kaetlin utilized his services last year because of his sponsorship contribution. If labels do not matter, why was Ashley in a Carlos Alberto gown? Carlos was a big part of USA this year, very influential from what I understand. Also, as the director, why would you send a girl onto the USA stage if the gown was not right for the stage?

Please don't misinterpret my questions, I mean no disrespect whatsoever. The potential for this pageant is huge. I hope to one day see the USA state numbers up in the 30's. I'd hate to see such a promising, young director lose the pageant because the numbers weren't there.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: USA numbers havent been in the 30's for the Miss for a long time, The USA system still had more contestants between Teen and Miss then any other pageant in the state. Also, ALL USA state pageants had low numbers last year. One director went from 85 to 35 in a year. Although I have plenty of room for improvement and I am still learning, I think I am doing just fine and I think that MUO would agree. I appreciate your imput and I am happy to answer any questions you may have and I would love to hear any suggestions you may have. Please feel free to contact me through email or by phone.
