| Subject: What's with the quotes surrounding the world family? You obviously know the term family should be used very loosely when talking about the International pageant. I think it's totally unfortunate a former would not be the one taking the pageant over and what's even more unfortunate is that H&M decided to not take on the Mrs. One would think if they were so gungho on the Int'l family that they wouldn't break it up! | |

Go Tiffany! I have not spoken with Nicole but hopefully she is still in pageant mode as she would make any system proud to have her as a queen! 's message, "I believe Heather and Marty will do an amazing job with the new directorship once it is official. They have consistently had contestants compete in the pageant and over the last two years have really been supportive of the system and the queens. They have attended nationals twice and are married and business minded. To me it makes alot of sense. As as former queen and "family" I fully support their directorship. I know as a mom of two very active kids, a career woman with demands increasing everyday, undertaking a pageant was not something in the cards right now. I LOVE the pageant and enjoy every aspect of the preparation and the show! The organization and financial expenses that go along with directing is not in the cards for me now. I hope that the "family" aspect will remain with this next directorship and that all queens can attend and help in anyway. I still speak to many of them and see Rebecca and her family at least twice a month or more. I consider them family as I do many of the queens. I did not mean anything by the quotes. And I beleive that Heather and Marty would like to have the support of all previous winners as they take on the directorship. | |

Furthermore, I think if you contact the national office and inquire, Rebecca could not offer her directorship to Heather and Marty, that call is made by Mary and Mel. Rebecca's reasons for stepping down are none of our business, and whether Heather and Marty were offered the pageant or contacted Nationals for the pageant isn't any of our business either. The fact that it is now under new ownership is all we need to know. Just be happy that someone has taken the International system in Maine and it wasn't just left without a director leaving many people wondering what the heck was going on.
