It sounds like a problem with the HEAD. Where all the dip switches always off? Number 10 on DIP SWITCH 1 will tell the wich IDO the machine uses. Do you have any calibration paper? You could try to clean up the little wheels on the head. They get a build up of dirt on them after awhile and throw the calibration off.
