Hi, I am having a problem with a Bally 5500 Pro series Blazing 7's machine. I completed a RAM clear. Machine flashes "INSERT COIN" but when coins are inserted, they drop directly in the hopper but do not register. The coin switch on the board is up, and coins WILL register by pushing either buttons inside the machine (pseudo coin button, and the button under the coin comparer).

Sounds like the coin in optics. Check all the the connections, and that it is not in the middle of a game, have a tilt, and the door is showing closed.

The coin comparer and the unit below it do work in another Bally machine.
