I was recently given an old Electronic Slot that had Casino Electronics who I Believe to be Bally now. I have been trying to track down why the last real would not spin. I swaped the motors to test the motor assembly, the motor is fine. I tried to check the control board, but it has been modified. NOT AN ORIGINAL GAME, so i don't know where to start.

I am unsure on which machine that you have, but if you have swapped out the “REEL’S” and they do work, than I would put the problem at either the MPU or wiring. If you can give me more information about what kind of machine it is than I can be, of more help.

If you email me a picture, or post one I’d have a good guess of what your machine is. You can also tell the kind of electronics the machine is running (AKA the year.); again if you have swapped the “Reel’s” than it has to be wiring or something wrong with the MPU (be my guess.)

OK 2 things. Posted pictures of machine at:

I might need help trying to identify now more than ever. Found out today the MPU was blown and may need to find a replacement or have to get it fixed. Looks vary basic in design.

Bally’s 5500, you can download the manual here http://www.npgcable.com/~aranger/Downloads.html your machine can be temperamental and will often need the clear chips. The problem with the “REEL’s” can be as simple as a ram clear, to a bad MPU.
