It sounds as though you are having a hopper problem. It could be something as simple as just being jammed which should give you a tilt code error. It could also be something such as a bad motor or wiring. The main thing is to look for the tilt code it gives you when it doesnít pay out then try and locate a manual if you donít have one and look up the tilt code number. If the hopper sounds as though it is trying to pay out then I would check for a jam which is a common problem.

Thanks, but where do i look for the tilt code ?It dosent even try to pay out. I would get 3 cherries and nothing happens.I dosent make a sound or anything. but i will try to find the tilt code. Thank-you for your time. we only had this for about a month, and we bought it off of craigslist, the guy said and had a reciept saying he had it just gone all over and paid $300 for fixing some stuff. Thanks again.

I have never worked on such an older Bally machine as you have, but when a slot machine tilts it will give an error code in the coins-played or credits-window. Most games from the 1980ís on would lock up until the tilt is cleared. Since your machine is a classic machine it may work differently. If you have the manual it should say how the tilts work. I donít think I have your manual but Iíll keep a look out for one.

I have heard that casinos used to hire auto mechanics to work on machines prior to 1980 since they were mechanical or electromechanical. Unfortunately I have never worked on those older machines.
