Of course not and I know I am almost 50." on 07:33:07 11/29/11 Tue Adult levels were set up for adults who wanted to learn and maybe compete in Irish dance. They make it clear that they did not want adults "going too far" (which is why they tried to ban adult championships). Adult levels are not for previous open champ dancers. They're just not. It doesn't matter who wins; obviously three teams of older adults beat the youngest dancers at this year's MARO. Great. I mean: that's really great and every year that goes by, it's a bigger win, in one way. Younger and younger dancers are coming in and the dancers who stay are getting older. But winning is not the point regarding age. It's level of competition. When the rest of the age groups include 20 year gaps, then I'll think it's fair. When a 22 year old dances against a 60 year old (and there were 60 yr olds at the MARO) then we all have to come to our senses and say: that's not fair. It's not right. And it's really silly.
