I am an adult dancer with ROI as well as the registrar and although our dancer numbers are higher each year, our adult dancer numbers reduce each year.

Have we offended the adult ID dancing community? We have no teams other than our own coming this year.

We love our adult dancers - please come back!

I'm an adult dancer on the West Coast. Our school feis is this weekend and adult entries are down to only 15. That makes it hard for anyone to move up and many competitions only have a single dancer signed up. There are several factors working here... Nor Cal Dancer 22:14:56 10/15/11 Sat

I hope you're right about the slow speeds bringing adults back. We have a lot of advanced adult dancers in our school who might be enticed to feis again for this reason. Maybe they're let us do Treble Reel specials, too! (NT) -- Nor Cal Dancer, 23:23:49 10/16/11 Sun

The family fee doesn't help either. Many adults competing do not have children competing, and, for the most part do not have a audience (family) coming to watch them dance. This is a fee that many of us would rather use towards the hotel or maybe an additional competition (or maybe just save). adult dancer 19:03:29 10/16/11 Sun

True; it's part of the $$$ problem. No one needs an extra fee on anything, anywhere these days! I have to choose my feises wisely & tend to register for the ones that I know usu. have a lot of adults.
