The only reason you would wait to have adult status would be if youhad danced as a kid and had taken a break and wanetd to come back to dance. in that case, you could just dance in "and overs" without going into adult status at all, so you would not have to wait 5 years.

Are you talking abuot an adult that danced in and-overs and wanted to go back to adult status? Again, the only place I see anyting about a 5 year rule is in the Mid-American baseline syllabus. I don't think it applies to anybody else outside of that region.
