Subject: They aren't necessary for anyone, but what do the majority do? Do the judges prefer them? Why or why not? Does presentation matter? How?

Wigs are not necessary but uniformity is. Every dancer's hair should look the same. Wigs are one way to get a uniform look, especially if hair lengths vary greatly. My team has worn wigs at some competitions and not at others but we always make sure our hair is styled in the same manner. (NT)NE adult12:34:18 12/22/09 Tue
My TC despises wigs, but she has us wear the pony-tail type for two reasons. 1) Uniformity in style and length and 2) The extra bounce looks great when we dance. (NT)mp07:38:14 12/23/09 Wed
