I did attend Feile Padraig- very nice feis by the way, for their first year. Yeah, I'm older all right - and I usually end up dancing in the and-overs because of the lack of adult comps in the New England area. you know, in my years of doing this, I would say about 100% of the girls I have met in my classes have been super nice and supportive also. I remember at Feile Padraig talking to some really nice kids in my class. Too bad that one mother was so negative and judgemental. I have been dancing in the Novice category for probably 5 years now (with time off for an injury or 2) and would love to get that elusive first and move up to prizewinner, as I am sure the other girls with me would also. Yea, maybe I came to this sport late in the game, but I'm dancing for the love, for the challenge, and just maybe ,the chance to move up. I think you're never too old to work for these things.
