Subject: 16 hand reel

16 hand Reel- in the 3rd Figure Arch Arms... It says "partners take hands and dance complete turn TO POSITION OPPOSITE THAT AT START." would that mean that the opposite gent and lady are Literally opposite where they started?? As in the gents end up facing eachother?

It's confusing because the couples 1. Turn a full circle to center (opposite gent ends on same side as he started) 2. Dance through arches (opposite gent STILL on same side as he started) then 3. Full turn (opposite gent STILL on same side as he started???) or does the opposite couple continue to turn into the usually lady/gent positions?

[> Full turn so gent is still on same side, opp lady passes through, half turn so gent is now in lady's position, opp gent passes through and then full turn from there so gent is still on the same side but because they are then in the position of opp sides and facing the opp direction to where they were when they started the last turn the gent ends up in the opp gents place if that makes sense. -- AD candidate, 07:50:50 08/16/12 Thu [1]
