Subject: Pfeffer Klopse Recipe?

I spent 3 years in Germany, just north of Dusseldorf earlier this decade. In all the time I was there I never came across a food that I used to eat in a German restaurant in the USA 35 years ago. It was kind of a meatball, served in a plate without sauce and was very very peppery and was made from I believe pork and eaither veal or beef. It was served as an appetizer. The balls were about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter. I was young at the time, but I would eat just these little peppery meatballs as my whole meal, they were so good. If anyone has any idea what this recipe is, please email me as I would love to make them myself.
