Subject: I talk to Sam that runs the track in Gilmer (Shreveport) in addition to the class on the flyer if he has 8 outlaw backhalf cars he will pay 1000.00 to win for that class. He will run his own car in it also cap to be what we want 4.85 4.75 whatever. Also if there are 8 5.50 cars to race he will pay 1000.00 to win that race also its 10.00 a day to get in gate. rds Qualify Saturday and two rounds Sunday. Do not have to go Saturday u can make the 2rds qualifying on Sunday and race in show. Payout for both those class good only if 8 cars in the class. There is what they have to ofer in addition to the flyer they would love to see Dallas guys come aside from all the Limited street cars from here that r already going. Just wanted ya'll to know what was available to you.They r having test n tune between rounds so if you get you a grudge race you oughta have time for that also. Plus i am sure Sam will be ok with the 530 deal he just say's as long as 8 cars show for it the 550 then he will put the money up not sure how much for the tech card though tried to call him a minuite ago he must be in bed already i will try again in the morning he is out of town right now so i will let ya know in tommorrow. The 5.5 class has 75.00 entry the guys is really easy to deal with when I talk to him today. So maybe he will let us change to 5.30 class. The deal is he has several local guys that run 5.50 class already but doesn't hurt to ask. Plus u don't have to have a lic to race there they aren't a NHRA or IHRA track their rules are basic safety rules. (NT)Shan21:09:48 08/31/09 Mon
Okay guys just got off the phone with Sam at Gilmer we WILL have a 5.30 there this weekend 75.00 entry 10.00 a person to get in gate you don't have to come on Saturday can do it all on Sunday. 1000.00 to winner 500.00 runner up. 8 car min. to run race. Should be no problem for us to put up more than 8 cars. They also have guys that run a 5.50 class there that should step up and run 5.30 with us. Gates open at 12 on Sunday see you guys there.
