I think someone's character is not up for judgement. And I think no one knows what really happened other than Molly and the "entire ICC fine arts department." Do you know what happened after she was removed? Do you know what disiciplinary action was taken against the ICC Fine Arts Department? Do you know who's right and who wrong? And most importantly, why do you think you're small opinion of a girl matters at all? Those of you who hide here and express your opinion are pathetic cowards. Good questions to ask yourself are "was Molly being selfish or was she fighting for something that no one knew about?" "Was Molly being blatantly disrespectful or was she standing up for herself when the ICC Fine Arts department was in the wrong?"
But my biggest concern is how you speak of setting an example for God. You said "In order to have several individual instructors in the same department come to the same conclusion over a student's behavior and character to have kicked her out of every single activity she was involved I one must show concern for who may represent our state." In mentioning God I assume you're a Christian so I must give you a Christian reference. When Jesus Christ was crucified he was sentenced to death by the masses and supported only by a small group. All though Jesus was very clearly the son of God and was in the right, he was still falsely persecuted. But it didn't matter because thousands of people believed he should die, so his character was called into question, and he died. Did it every occur to you that although an entire department decided she didn't belong, that were still in fact wrong? Did you ever stop and wonder that what happened to her was out of line and she was unjustly punished? The answer to this is no. Not a single person who comes to speak "the truth" on the board know anything of what they speak. And as an actual close friend of Molly (that you so UNTRULY say you are), you'd know she is he farthest thing from manipulative. I've seen Molly give the clothes off her back and sacrifice for those she barely knows. She is a wonderful role model for my girls and I will continue to back her as she competes. She will be a great Miss Mississippi contest because she deserves to win, not because of her talent or beauty, but because of her heart that shines more brightly than whoever comes her to bash her in the name of "good intentions, trust, morality, integrity, and truth."
And with the utmost respect, I'd like to close in asking you if you claim that we have nothing without love, why don't you show it? If you want to judge character by actions, then you're a horrible person as well for bashing a 20 year old girl on a message board you claim to never post on. Even Jesus said "he who is without sin cast the first stone" and you my pretentious friend are ridiculous.
I hope to see you at Miss Mississippi or in public one day and shake your hand and let you know just how wrong you are.
