Subject: My Bruce Lee discovery this evening

So i watched 'The Big Boss'and 'Enter The Dragon' this afternoon and evening not realizing until i started watching the extras on my Blu-ray disc of Enter the Dragon that for months i have had in my posession all this time all that lost, extended footage of Bruce Lee from 'The Game Of Death' that was horribly edited or lost from the original movie.

The extra was titled 'Bruce Lee:A Warrior's Journey.'The entire extra was 1hour and over 37 minutes in running.I remember Rick saying how Blu-Ray disc could store so much more info than a regular disc and you,Rick, weren't jokin'!

This lost footage was just spectactular(totally unedited and with the Chinese dialogue, the two allies that were with Mr.Lee during his plight up that 4 stage pagloria, and so) and now i'm debatting wether to thrown out my two 'Game of Death'movies as they are now,for me at least, sorta worthless....especially Game Of Death 2.

Bruce Lee displays such diversity in engaging with so many styles and i still can't understand why so many people think of his as a standup striker when in everyone of his movies he displays excellent joint locks, grappling moves, and submission skills.

His grappling skills are in full throttle with that World Champion Harpkido expert in this extended footage.

I can't believe i've been sitting on all this great footage for months and didn't know i had it...What else in my extensive collection and i unaware of? LOL

Don't throw any DVDs out, Ray! You paid for them. The Game of Death dialogue in 'Journey was restored, as Bruce didn't have any that he and the others dubbed for the 1972 film shoots. Sounds like a computer did some or all of the voice simulations.

For example, the second opponent dressed in white garb couldn't speak English that well and in 'Journey' his dialogue sounds better than his own speaking voice during the fight.

Watch the 1978 GOD with Bruce and Dan in the pagoda. After he strikes Bruce, he says "How do you like that?" That was Dan who looped the line. In 'Journey," you hear most likely, an older Dan dubbing and it's a little different. Or it could have been a computer voice simulation.

The print quality of GOD in 'Journey' had faded somewhat. If you look at the 1978 print of the film, you can see the color balance is more vivid. The footage was still new and colorful. 20 years later, John Little acquired the same footage and it had faded by than, but it still looks good.

I wouldn't mind seeing this Blu-ray edition and if you want to grab me a copy, be sure and let me know. We discussed this last month. The only BR title I have now is 'The Song Remains the Same' and haven't had time to view it yet.

Rick
