But what will not be allowed in this forum is bashing, offensive words, attacking language or racial bashing in any way, either in posts or replies.

Note: Also NO destructive criticism allowed, especially on Miss USA during Miss Universe time, all such posts will be swiftly deleted, this board is a support board for Miss USA and is to respect all the ladies who compete, so only posts that are not childish and constructive criticism comments will be allowed on the board as we deem appropiate

Mexico wants to host Miss Universe 2013 in Accapulco. I would definatly welcome this over Las Vegas again. I hope this happens. Also San Antonio Texas wants to host the next Miss USA contest I would also welcome this over Las vegas also, Miss Universe & Miss USA would be exciting events in these locations.

No to Mexico. They were rude and disrespect to Miss USA's Kenya Moore and Rachel Smith, yet the MUO crowns Lupita and Ximena when it's held in Las Vegas because Mexicans flooded the auditorium with their supporters and swayed the judges. Lupita and Ximena weren't remotely deserving of the crown and I'd say over half of the contestants were more deserving. Any place would be better to have the pageant than Mexico, even if it's Las Vegas again. San Antonio in 2003 was an exciting city to have the pageant! (NT) -- Wandi, Tuesday, March 19, 04:33:24pm

Lupita Jones was the front runner the entire pageant week, and she was a deserved winner. Nobody was going to beat her that year. Can't say the same for Ximena - she won by default because the front runner messed up on the answer.... (NT) -- vbresd, Tuesday, March 26, 02:48:47pm

I highly doubt Lupita would've won had the pageant not been held in Vegas. She was not very beautiful compared to many of the girls on that stage. Same can be said about Ximena. Enough with the politics and time to judge the girls fairly because they spend too much time and energy to be mistreated like that and crowns given to undeserving girls like Lupita and Ximena. Lupita Jones was one of the least facially attractive Miss Universes of the 90's and wondered how she ever even placed and now I know because the audience was flooded with her supporters since Vegas is so close to Mexico and easy for supporters to come and sway the judges. The judges should've known this and not think the audience's applause was because she was gorgeous. She was not even remotely beautiful next to many other girls on that stage. I think this is just make believe wishful thinking rumoring. Acapulco might've been a good place to host it before all the drug lords moved in and started assaulting the tourists and killing innocent civilians. It's just not a safe place anymore. And I concur with the above comments; since the totally disrespectful booing of American contestants down there I highly doubt Trump will want to return the pageant there. Panama would be a better option in the region. And I agree with the suggestions to move Miss USA to new locales. Give Las Vegas a break for a while. There are so many other interesting and beautiful cities in our country that would make great places to host. The biggest change I'd like to see is to bring back the scores. I loved them in the past and then they brought them back in 2007, only to disappear again. It would bring transparency and I liked seeing them. I mean the judges scores and not the viewers scores they showed in 2011 - that was pointless and the viewers didn't know how to judge like the actual judges.

I agree with announcing the 1st runner-up first like in the past. I guess I'm more traditional and liked how they always did it by announcing the 1st runner-up. State USA pageants still do it, so I think they should change back. The only thing I would disagree with you, Aja, is that I like them announcing the 4th, 3rd, 2nd runners-up in order, just my opinion. The comment above, I also would like to see them bring back the same final question to all 5 finalists and have the sound-proof booth like in the past. Some questions are harder than others and that's not fair. Paula Shugart said a Miss USA can answer any question directed at her but that doesn't explain why they have different questions. The same question would show how each handles it. Kristen Dalton and Alyssa Campanella picked more difficult questions and fortunately both handled them really well but had they not, they could've lost it all and that would be really unfair. that in the four months that Olivia has been Miss Universe she has only traveled to Russia and Indonesia? Past Miss Universe winners used to travel to on average two or three countries per month. Now nothing. Donald has really run this pageant into the ground. So sad.

Anyone notice this? I'm thinking a lot of state directors figure a blonde haired blue eyed girl has a better shot of winning this year because there hasn't been a blonde miss usa since 2009. The judges seem to be biased and pick brunettes to win mostly but I honestly think this year is a comeback for blondes!
