Who said anything about bashing? All that is being said is a young teen girl should not be dropping that amount of weight, that is like losing a toddler! If you people are okay with that, fine! No matter what way you look at it, it does not set a good example for young girls to follow. Supervised or not, healthy eating, or not, this in my opinion is way too much weight for a young girl to be losing. You only enter a pageant if you think you are going to win, she didn't look like she needed to lose the weight lists year when she competed. It blatantly shows it was done to be more competitive for the pageant. If you need to drop that much weight, then maybe she shouldn't have competed in the first place -- Miss USA forum (unofficial)

At that stage in my life it was as easy as increasing my workouts (which came naturally since I started basketball and volleyball in high school) and eliminating junk food and soda from my diet. I was still eating regularly and quite a lot, but just all the "right" foods. My doctor did not think this was unhealthy at all and even encouraged my new lifestyle. I don't personally know if a similar situation happened here, but weight loss CAN happen and be healthy.
