| Subject: I've thought the same thing but it seems a lot of states don't give the title to a runner-up like they always do at Miss America. I can think of California giving the 1st runner-up the title, after Carrie Prejean and then Alyssa Campanella but not sure why other states don't. Maybe it's because they don't have many duties in comparison to Miss America state titleholders? I don't know, good question. | |

| [> [> Subject: It could also be that none of the runners-up wanted the title so that they could compete again. The same thing happened with PA this year when Sheena resigned. none of the runners up wanted the title because they wanted to compete at the state level again for their chance at winning Miss USA | |

| [> [> [> Subject: Thanks Rick, that's a good point. Maybe they can even go down to the semi-finalists and ask them if they want the title. Otherwise, they don't have a titleholder for any duties. Although Miss PA Teen USA is taking over Sheena's duties, in addition to her own as PA Teen. | |
