Subject: You never know . . . But there have been 7 Miss Universe winners from the USA. Some strong countries like Colombia and South Africa only have 1 winner and many have none and are still chasing their first crown, despite sending strong delegates. If Miss USA is deserving and wins, then great. But even more wonderful is when a small country with not much sash factor and no prior Miss Universe crown wins.

To answer your question OP, I think Georgia, Alabama and Rhode Island are strong possibilities to maybe have a chance at ending the drought and winning Miss Universe, it would be great if it did happen this year.
