Hullo Max,

One of my great-uncles was in the Black Watch and when I was trying to find out more about him I spoke to the archivist in the Black Watch Museum, Perth Scotland. He told me that the regiment's WWI records were destroyed in a WW2 bombing raid in London. He told me about a book called "History of the Black Watch in the Great War" by Wauchope - London, Medici Society 1925-26. That could be of use if you know his battalion.

If he was killede in action, I can give you details of sources which may be of interest.
