Hey Joel.
I cannot forsee you getting yourself in trouble here. Kyle's dad isn't in trouble for giving you that spanking is he?
The haircut idea is mine. I think it'll REALLY give Kyle something to reflect on over the next three months every time he looks in a mirror. I also felt he needed a consequence more or less directly from me as I was the adult who got you into this. (Not to mention that if my parents ever wanted to send a message to my brain this is probably the one thing that would have REALLY gotten my attention back in the late 1970's when I was a teen.)
As for explaining this to your dad or to Kyle's dad; just tell them the truth that you feel Kyle needs a little something extra to remind him over a long period of time that he needs to treat others with a little more respect and dignity.
As to whether or not I have ever had a High 'n Tight? The answer is yes, it is the haircut I am currently sporting. I cut it that way two weeks ago and I actually like it. The temperature was in the 90's that day and I felt a lot cooler after I left the Barber Shop than I did on the way in. (I hate to say this but Kyle might even feel like you did him a favor after the fact; considering that you guys are working outside at a summer camp. I can guarantee that he will feel A LOT cooler particularly if the outside temperature is in the high 90's and into the 100's as it is where I am.)
Anyway, be sure and let me know how everything turns out. In the mean time, don't be buzzing around too fast on the jet skis at the Y-camp where you are working this summer. :D
