Hey Bill,

My turn again...

Wouldn't hiring a lawyer cost more then just paying the ticket and accepting the increase in car car insurance?

I know its the principal of the matter, YES Luke should not have been speeding and paying attention more to his speed, but things happen...so how does a lawyer "fix" a ticket?

I guess it would be right for Luke to tell his dad, I don't think he would blow his top enough to want to paddle Luke with the old "attitude adjuster", but I guess his dad will find out anyway as I'm sure the car insurance company will tell his dad or the office people will-right!

May I ask ya, Bill...none of my business...BUT, did you get a speeding ticket sometime in your life and you was able to get it "fixed"?

If you don't want to answer, that is fine and I won't ask ya again or think you did and got a ticket "fixed".

I guess I never heard about a person getting a ticket "fixed". How long has then been going on? Since the beginning of time?

Speaking of speeding, even famous people don't get off from getting a speeding ticket. This is the truth, Bill. I'm distantly related (and proud to say I'm a distant cousin) to President U.S. Grant. Get this, he got a speeding ticket for driving a horse and buggy too fast on the street in Washington,D.C. and the police officer didn't care he was President of the United States, when he stopped him and he asked the officer, "sir, do you know whom you are talking to and wanting to give a ticket to?"

I think that officer just wanted to get into the history books.

I haven't been able to find anymore information about this, but wonder how much the fine was, and if he had to pay for ticket?

You ever hear about this speeding ticket of Pres. Grant? I found out about it in a Presidential Trivia Book.

So what should Luke do then, besides tell his dad?
