Hey Bill--

There is ONLY one reason why a young driver living at home with his parents has his OWN seperate policy. That reason is to shield the parents long term safe driving record. Thats why they charge such high premiums for young drivers. Thats why most young drivers are on their parents policy (even if they pay for it.)

So thats why i asked Luke that question. There is no legal basis for insurance company to raise the rates on a seperate parents policy if their son gets a ticket or accident when he has a seperate policy.
