Hi Bill,

Thanks for your concern about the traffic ticket I got. See the detail response I told Steve that tells what happened.

I'll take responsiblity for the ticket, even though I think, like Joel suggested, that maybe we ran into a SPEED TRAP. He's going to check with his grandpa and see if we did.

I told my dad I would pay the fine, any increase in insurance, etc, and go to traffic school to erase the ticket.

My dad was really understanding, I thought he would really BLOW HIS TOP and give me a good butt blistering, but he didn't want to punish me further, but I felt I needed something extra.

This will sound stupid to ya, but I asked my dad to give me a paddling, that could help ease my mind, not from guilt, but to help put this matter to rest.

My dad didn't want to do it, but he did and got misty eyed about it and Joel had tears running down his face when I asked him to stay while I got it.

Joel sure has helped me out, and we've tried to make sense out of this mess, and it sure has scared the crap out of us, not that we will be afraid of police, but when a guy doesn't expect this to happen to him-get a traffic ticket, you don't know what all is going to happen.

So you got a ticket, Bill?

I guess I'm a new member to the club with ya, not by choice. How much was you speeding? The cop said 8-l0mph for me. How much of a fine did you have to pay? I haven't called yet. I'll pay whatever they say with my own money and for any increase in insurance and go to traffice school!

Gotta run, Joel and I have YMCA Camp baseball camper this mid-morning!

Talk to you later, Bill!

Luke
