Steve,

What am I missing here?

Why should Joel need to be bare ass, bent over his car and getting paddled for allowing Luke to drive them both home?

Luke didn't have to drive, if he was unfamilair with Joel's car. He wanted to, according to the message he shared!
If Luke wanted to drive, and he did, and was not feeling safe to but wanted to satisfy Joel or help because his folks don't like him at night, then Luke should have been driving at a slower speed and would NOT have gotten the speeding ticket, which probably was a SPEED TRAP!

I didn't see where Joel was 'gloating about Luke being his chauffer' as I believe it to be an express our generation uses and our folks do to us, like: 'Zack would you be my chauffer and drive me to town, son?' or 'Zack, how about chauffering me and grandma to the store?"-Zack's mom.

As for Luke driving Joel's car, nobody has asked either Joel or Luke how many times each has drive each others car. Spence and I drive each others car, are familair with each, but at the time we are driving we drive with road conditions and at a safe speed!

Apparently the police didn't think Luke was!

I'm not condeming Luke, I like the dude, and sorry he got a speeding ticket, so there are all kinds of doors that are "open" to point fingers!

So you saying Joel should get his ass paddled for allowing Luke to drive his car, because Luke was speeding and wouldn't have if Joel would have drove them home?

I believe Luke looks up to Joel as a 'big brother' and was pleased to 'chauffer' Joel and himself home, and got caught up in a SPEED TRAP for an officer trying to meet his monthly quota!

Thumbs up to Joel-NO PADDLING!

THUMBS UP TO LUKE-SORRY he asked for a paddling, which his dad said he didn't deserve or is there more to why Luke asked for one to 'clear the air and his mind of wrong-doing?'

Zack
