Hey Big Brother,
Great to see your message to me. I was hoping you'd come through soon, but I know how busy you are, Rick and helping to take care of Mollie and Jeanne's needs.

Yeah, got hope Saturday. They saw I was well enough at the hospital so decided to throw my little butt out of there. I took it easy rest of Saturday and shot a little hoops to see if I still got it. Will go back to school this morning so I can get assignments to catch up and later hoop practice so I can play Tuesday. Coach tells me he'll look at me and practice and decide how much playing time I get in the game. Doesn't want to run me down and have relapse, like you said, and not be of help to the team.
I'll give it my best shot, Big Brother, to help STOP the skid the team is in to losing. I'm not saying they have to have my butt on the court to do it, but they lost two games while I was, like Kyle tells me, "was on vacation!"
Ha.
I'd like to see him take a vacation like I had to. You got it right Big Brother about BIG NASTY FLU BUG biting me. Thought could kill him at home, but "things" started happening and was told my doctor when I visited him last Monday he was throwing my little butt into the hospital to KILL MR.FLU BUG.
You guessed it, the IVs, shots in the butt, antibiotics, fluids, etc. they gave me to stop higher temps and bring them down and other signs that was wearing me down to weaken me all was helped by the hospital stay and care by doctors, nurses and ONE CANDY STRIPER.
Man, I hated to say good-bye to my CANDY STRIPER I found, she was faithful to me everyday. Got her phone number, so sometime soon maybe I can show her the real healthy Joel.
Now Big Brother, before you say it, I'm still hooked-up to Holly and won't dump her for another gal in uniform, but I had to me a gentleman and allow her to have my phone number and me hers to check now and then that I'm healthy, right?
You bet my l7 yr. old butt got a SHOCK from Mom whacking one of its little cheeks to sting it and redden it.
Get this, yes my mom went to get my dad and he came back to the room and started chewing my little ass out, asking why I was making a basketball court in the room, instead of resting, like I was ordered to do, etc. and other lecture stuff.
When he finally calmdown he said, "I understand your Mom to help get you back in bed had to smack your little ass to get your attention?"
"Yessir," I said. "She kept smacking one of my cheeks."
My dad said, "If I ever catch a little hoopster in this hospital room not following doctor or nurses orders again, I'll smack is other little ass cheek and he'll have a matching red pair. Am I understood, Joel?"
With my mouth, probably half-way dropped down and taking a hard swallow I responded to my dad, "YESSSSIIIR!"
What was emabarassing too, was the doctor and nurse righ there to hear the conversation.
GEEZ!
If you thought maybe I was embarrassed to have the nurse walk in on me during the butt check, I thought later on, glad it was her and NOT my Candy Striper seeing me!
GEEZ!
Every time that nurse came into my room from then on she had a smerk on her face, knowing what I knew that she knew, and my folks didn't!
I thought too, yeah, what would have Mom's hand down to my little bare bottom as a kid??? a million times over!
I'll let Luke know you asked about him, I was on the phone to him alot, besides Kyle, and he laughed his ass off when I told him about the nurse seeing my butt check and my Mom smacking it and telling me, "Joel, you'll have to watch your Mom now. She'll have open season on your butt forever after now!"
"Thanks alot, Luke," I told him. I did mention to him that I didn't see any attempt on his part to maybe try the termometer trick I mentioned, but he was still staying home. He tried to rally the team last Friday to get a win, but it didn't happen.
So you think I'm deserving to be a member of the "Screw-up League", huh, and have a chance to advance up the ranks. Thank you for the challenge.
Have one question, where'd you get this "novice" word? Never heard of it being used before, and I guess I'll have to find a dictionary to see what Mr. Webster says I am?
My dad called, and will be home by Wednesday so we can have our father/son talk. I'll let you know how it went, try to POST Thursday morning before I go to school. I'm looking forward to it, will have a chance to "air" somethings out that have been bothering me.
Kyle here soon to pick-up the "ex-hospital vacationing patient" for school.
Sorry to be a wise guy, but better then being a "little wise ass" that Kyle likes to call me sometimes lately.
"Better then being a dumb one," I tell him!
