Merry Christmas, Big Brother! Thanks for helping me to growup this past Fall, and for the BIG GIFT of taking a paddling to motivate me to get courage and open the door to have my dad paddle my butt for the first time in my life!
I couldn't have asked any better gift then to have this happen, despite you having to get your little bare butt whacked to help me out.
I asked Rick if he could buy me a Christmas gift, what would it be? I'd ask you the same, but the paddling you took is more then a Christmas gift, even if Rick joked it was an early Christmas gift, and the color red your butt took on with the red, holly circles made it festive from the paddle.
David, what's the best Christmas gift you ever got and the worst one?
The Christmas gift I got for Kyle to give for Christmas is a sports football jersey he's been wanting, so I got it for him! We'll exchange gifts tomorrow night Christmas Eve when our two families get together and my grandparents, too.
David what is your favorite religious Christmas Carol and your favorite non-Christmas Carol/song? If you tell me yours I will tell you mine! Maybe you guess the non-religious one?
David when you left milk and cookies for Santa, what kind of cookies did you leave and did you leave anything for the reindeer? I'll share mine, if you share yours?

I bought my momn two gifts, and you guys helped a little. You mentioned perfume your mom likes, but it for her to buy, I guess. My mom likes Country singer Faith Hill and she has a new perfume so I bought her a bottle. Also, she talked about after the holidays to go with a coule of girlfriends to try a health spa to relax at, so I bought her a membership in one to try.
My dad was easy to buy for, he wanted a cool pair of seatcovers for his truck, so I got'em for him. Thinking about getting him something else, but haven't quite decided yet.
I got an early gift from Santa, my folks arranged for my mom's parents, my other grandparents I haven't seen inperson for about 5 yrs. because they have some health problem, but we talk on the phone, to come to our house for the holidays. Isn't that cool? If I can't have my other grandparents because they hate me, etc., then I have my other grandparents to visit with, etc. My folks had them flown-in.
They've never seen me play high school sports, and will be attending some of the basketball games at the college we'll be playing next weet. Won't that be COOL? Sure hope we can win games they can see how good of a team we are trying to be.
David, what do you & Rick and your folks usually do to celebrate Christmas Eve & Day?
What kind of a dinner do you have, desserts, etc.? We usually have an old-fashioned ham dinner, fixings and a couple of pies. Mom makes them as a surprise.
Kyle keeps telling me that I already have my Christmas gift-the paddle he made me to have my dad use to paddle my butt Dec. 6 for the first paddling of my life. If that's my gift, then that's my gift. I love it and dad sure used it good that day.
Rick joked with me that paddling your little butt was an early Christmas gift for me, especially because the drilled holes left red, circle holly rings to celebrate the holidays with. Ha ha. Sure, but it wasn't much of a gift for you, but Big Brother, THANKS for that gift of your butt to help motivate me to get my dad to paddle me.
Just curious, if you was to buy me a real gift, what would it be? I bet it would be something of sports?
If you share your gift idea, then I'll share what I might have bought you as a gift.
The best gift I could get from you, besides a bought'in gift, is the gift of FRIENDSHIP you have given me this year! Thanks. I sure do appreciate it, and Rick's friendship.
You both have helped me to growup, have given some great advice, even though I probably disappointed you for not telling on grandpa first before I got the paddling. It was probably wrong, wasn't it? But I figured my dad might not paddle me if I told first about grandpa and then wanted to ask for the paddling later, so I did what I did and was naughty I guess. That'll probably count against me with Santa, ha, ha. Probably give me a big kick with his boot to my butt! Ha Ha.
David, I don't know what all the year 20l0 will bring, but make sure you and Rick continue to be apart of my life as friends?
Sure has been fun coming to know you dudes this year. Can hardly wait to see what next year brings. For now, Merry Christmas. I'll have some time to talk more with yo uthis week before we leave Sun., Dec. 27 for the basketball camp/and games.
I'll get my chance to play up against some college guys and see how good of a player I can. If I get my butt kicked,I get my butt kicked I guess, but I'll show those dudes they can't keep Joel down on the basketball court for long.
Luke says he thinks' he's going to be scared to death of the college players. I told him that is natural to think that, but he should play'em just like they were high school hoop players and Luke will do fine.
Again, Merry Christmas Brothers!
