On Friday I sent a few pictures of Derek thru the Walgreens website to print some 4 x 6 for my shadowbox, and upon arriving at the store, and finding out they hadn't even started the printing process, I decided to wait, and I am SO GLAD I did. The lady (Mindy) started printing the pictures and asked "WHY ARE YOU PRINTING PICTURES OF MY BOYFRIEND"? I almost fell off the stool, and said, why are you making comments about MY boyfriends (or something like that). Turns out, she is a Derek fan, and apparently thru the years she has let her husband know (met him briefly he has a great smile) that Derek was her FIRST TRUE LOVE. We had a chance to talk, she is one of triplets who had a great mom who let them put BCR posters all over the wall, and play their music. She said she got to see the guys, I think in Utah, and on their way to the car, she reached out to touch Derek, and ended up with a handful of shirt, it ripped. She was horrified for a second, but said she ended up tying that piece of plaid around her ankle and she never took it off, she slept in it, showered in it, wore it everywhere, until it finally rotted and fell off. Now ladies THAT IS A FAN!!!!!!!!!! I told Mindy I would tell her story here, and gave her the link to the board. I hope you all welcome her when she posts, and I hope to get to meet her again one day soon. Shelly, you and I need to get together and watch DVD's with her.

Thank you Teresa for sharing that story! I love hearing how others have met Derek. I've gotten good at not being jealous of anyone who has met Derek/or any of the boys, because everyone is so sweet. Seriously, you all are the sisters I never had. Looking forward to hearing from Mindy!
