The nation's oldest living veteran and Austinite was hospitalized Friday.
Richard Overton's family says he had a fever of 102 early in the day and was lethargic.
They say his condition has improved. They think it was due to dehydration.
He will stay at the hospital overnight for observation.
Overton turned 111 just last week. He served in the Army in World War II.
