In reply to: theChronicler 's message, "QUESTION: What was the worst natural and/or weather disaster you personally have ever experienced (hurricane/tornado/severe storm/earthquake, etc) ?" on Sunday, September 10, 08:31:20am

stopping down the highway from the park.

The wind just flared up out of nowhere and it got dark really quickly - then just as quickly the sun was out.

The road home was blocked by a huge tree that collapsed and completely blocked a 4-lane highway (with an 8 foot grass median strip).

I had to take back roads home - a normal 20 minute trip took me two hours. And of course, no electricity when I got there.
