Subject: I'm glad her father lived a long and happy life, but I hope that people don't think not getting immunizations is a great thing. One of my Uncles, Pete, used to brag he NEVER got immunizations when he was young and NEVER had measles, mumps or any other childhood disease.

I would rather side with caution and be immunized than hope that nothing happens if I should get childhood diseases when I grew up.

My parents made sure I was immunized and I made sure my child was immunized. Better to be safe than sorry, like my Uncle Pete. After he was so sick and in the hospital for over 3 months, he NEVER mentions not getting immunized any more.
